Nice BBQ spot. A little pricy but the food is pretty good. The burger was definitely good, while the Mac and cheese not so much.
Thoroughly enjoyed the brisket! Sauces are v nice. Will def be back.
I was craving BBQ. This really hit the spot. The meat was soft and tender. Tried 3 of the BBQ sauces. I couldn't decide which one was the best. The Chipotle was the spicier but I think the western was pretty good too!
We have been PSU parents for 8 straight years. Pretty much have tried everything in State. Not only does Prospectors have great food but their service inside the resturant as well as the catering department are outstanding. These are the go to guys for BBQ in State!!
Our meals were good. I had pulled pork and wife had a brisket sandwich. It was a little pricey for what we got but it is State College.
Gorgeous food. I love the brisket. We eat here 10-20 times a year. Only twice did I get the cornbread I ordered. Everything else was perfect. I love the selection of sauces and they have handled COVID well
Pretty good BBQ here in state college. Price is a little higher but still acceptable. Onion rings are super good, some of the best I’ve had. Beans were also really good. The brisket and the pulled pork were decent but I found them a little dry. But the amazing sauces helped with that. Definitely get the sauces at the end of the table!
The food here is good. My complaint is the price on the menu vs the price you're charged. When ordering a sandwich the menu says a combo is 4.99. However we were charged 5.99. Yes it's just a dollar, however it's the principal of being charged what's shown.
To say that it was a disappointment would be an understatement. The mac and cheese was mostly watered-down cheese and the pasta salad had no flavor. The brisket had a nice texter, too bad the "bbq" sauce was mostly vinegar.
Been here twice, got the brisket both times. Not sure why it took us so long to try it out the first time!It'll become a family staple, I'm sure.
