Food was good, the employee that took our order was very short. We ordered a large meal and asked for plates because we thought the two tables were not open to the public so we were going to eat outside (there is not a good place to eat outside). There were clearly two of us in the party, and he gave us one styrofoam plate to share. I chose this place based on positive reviews, but I will not be back.
The delivery driver threw a childish tantrum in the middle of my job today, 5/7 after crying about not getting tipped. He did get tipped, twice actually if we include the additional tip my coworker gave him along side the $3 delivery fee for his HORRIBLE 7 mile drive to deliver. Customers and employees witnessed this spectacular as he threw our receipt at our cashier while she's helping a guest! We called to see if we actually did tip, we did and the store didn't seem to care that we were treated this way.
I’ve gotten the steamed tofu w/ veggies here maybe 100 times and it’s always great. The veggie soup is good too. For sure tops my list of fav takeout places in State College.
“Kung Pao Celery” - cheap with lots of carrots. It was missing staple ingredients like green/red pepper veggies. There wasn’t a single hot pepper in it (but it was Kung Pao, not a mistake). It was spicy but not hot as it should be.The rice was cooked well, the steamed wontons were over-cooked, falling apart. The spring rolls were good.
Friendly, quick and a great value. The wonton soup is my favorite right now....
Great place for a quick bite. Their lunch special is definitely worth it. Too bad inflation is making the prices go up.
