What a truly great dining experience. I remember Zola from when I was in school and it was a true pleasure to come back to State College and experience that same high level cuisine as an adult.Dawn and the rest of the staff were amazing. The chef and his staff were on point. I had two dietary restrictions and they were wonderful with accommodations.Service and food were perfect.Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to have our first dinner out in the last 29 weeks with our baby. We cannot wait to come back again :)

Celebrated my mom’s 90th birthday last night and couldn’t have chosen a better restaurant!!❤️She had the fois gras appetizer and chicken entree and loved both! My dad had the asparagus soup and chicken and devoured them. I had the Grace salad and scallops and both were amazing! We shared the hazelnut/dark chocolate torte and profiteroles for dessert. Delicious!! Freshly baked bread and complimentary champagne were excellent as well. Can’t say enough about our wonderful server, Gwen. My dad is a little unsteady on his feet. I walked him to the restroom but she offered to wait w/ him so I could go back to our table and not leave my mom.?It is ? the BEST restaurant in the area and looking most forward to taking my parents there again in August for my dad’s 94th!! Thanks for a wonderful meal and experience!!

Never disappointed always 5 star a gem at psu a must have every visit to psu

I started with the fruits de mer appetizer which included a chilled small lobster tail, cut in half for sharing, plus six jumbo shrimp, a bowl of crab meat, a half dozen oysters, and caviar (at extra cost). It was delicious, but it cost $100 and at that price I would have enjoyed toast points for the caviar, and none were provided. The kitchen provided cocktail sauce and a vinaigrette, but in insufficient quantities so that I had to budget use. My spouse had the Grace Salad, which was fantastic. The salmon entrée was described as “very good,” but not really a standout. I had the cod, which I thought really WAS a standout! The chocolate mousse dessert option was perfect. They’ve stopped their wonderful tradition of serving cocktails in front of a roaring fire in the paneled library, where you could place your dinner order, enjoy an amuse bouche, and then be escorted to your table as the first course is served. Too bad. Our server was friendly — too friendly, in fact. She repeated interrupted our conversation in order to ask us how we were enjoying our food. And she made us feel rushed by repeatedly clearing the plate of one of us, while the other was still eating, and while saying “Let me get this out of your way.” At prices of close to $400 for two people, without drinks, one should be able to reasonably expect flawless service. The service was certainly attentive, but I think that the restaurant needs to train the wait-staff in the art of circulating past the tables frequently in case a guest wants to make a request — not interrupting conversations by raising their voices to talk over the guests conversations to ask how we are enjoying our food. Also, not waiting until all diners have finished a course before clearing is expected in diners and chain restaurants, but not restaurants that aspire to — and charge for — fine dining. Grace is closing for renovations. It seems that they removed just two years ago. The dining space is pleasant, but uninspired.

Great food, great drinks, great service. Would definitely recommend.

Some of the selections were average and some were excellent. Pass on the prawn and cod. Go for the veal and any salad. In the past, ravioli and salmon were also vg. We liked the staging of the courses: unhurried and presented well. Service was vg. Check out the specialty drinks. A place to go for a special occasion.

Love it here. Ate here about 5 times and every time it’s a new menu and new experience. Highly recommend

We have dined at Grace many times but this was for VD. The whole building, rooms and restaurant are undergoing renovations so the library was not open for cocktails. The renderings look beautiful of the final outcome which will be mid-April. Grace has retained the same staff over many months, they are so attentive and wonderful. The menu had selections to please every type of diner. We were not hurried or rushed and the meals were delicious. We look forward to dining there when the renovations are complete.

As usual we had such a relaxing dinner, absolutely delicious and the staff is so sweet! Thank you for another great meal ❤️

Went for a Valentine’s dinner. Food was excellent. Cocktails were good. We enjoyed being sat in the lounge and served a drink prior to be seated at our table. This added to the ambiance. This is a more expensive restaurant, but prices were fair compared to other fine dining.
