Very pleased with this Five Guys location near Penn State University. This was definitely a five star because of several reasons. For one, the location is very well maintained and clean. The staff and service were excellent. It was the first time that I ever saw a staff member actually shape the toppings on the burger to fit the burger. Meaning if the bacon was too long, she snapped the bacon and layer the remaining piece on top. Great attention to detail on a burger! The drink machine was good, however one machine had no ice. There is plenty of room and spacious to dine in at a safe distance during COVID. The burger and fries completed the experience as both were made perfectly and fresh. Congrats for a great job ??!
Five guys has delicious burgers, fries and milkshakes. Also, I love snacking on their peanuts

Consistently horrible service whether they’re packed or dead empty. Mobile order checkins almost always get ignored the first time and then they ask who you are 15 minutes later. Worker forgot multiple ingredients on my burger that I had to dig through to check (mobile order) and when she was made aware, wrapped a couple of crusty, old pieces of bacon in foil and that’s all that was done. Workers haven’t cared on a single visit.
Although it took awhile to get waited on, the burger and fries were excellent.
As a local resident, I’ve seen every business develop over the past two decades. This five guys has deteriorated so bad. Was closed for Hygiene not that long ago and more specifically disrespectful staff. I’ve placed many online orders and know the process. But to sit at the checkout for 20 minutes and not get asked what i needed was one thing, TO TURN IT BACK ON ME AND SAY IT WAS MY FAULT I DIDNT CHECK IN WHEN I WAS TRYING TO FOR SAID 20 MINUTES. Be a man and own your mistakes, don’t point the blame when it’s on you, especially to a paying customer. I love five guys, but will never return to this one.
This is your standard 5 Guys. They are clean, respectful, and quick service. Oh yeah, and their burgers, fries and shakes are outstanding.
This was an unfortunate experience; we've been here before with much better food and service. We ordered online for pick up. We clicked the button that we had arrived but fries weren't cooked until after the burgers were ready. You have to tell them in person you're there I guess. 3 of the 4 burgers had toppings missing or interchanged with other burgers. Even the cheeseburger with JUST ketchup was wrong. The fries were barely cooked and the serving was really skimpy compared to the normal large fry one is accustomed to getting from a 5 guys. Burgers were cold by the time we drove home.
