They make very good cheesesteaks! I see other people comment on them being very salty which I find to be true if you get cheese wiz. Their cheesesteak with American cheese is where it’s at! Will definitely be back!
We had the cheesesteak, cheeseburger, and natural cut fries. All amazing, even after delivery.
If I could give a negative review I would I ordered a cheese steak got back to my motel, this was in fact the worst cheesesteak I have ever had it was like a dog chewed to meet up and they took it out of the dog's mouth and put it on a soggy roll the grease tasted burnt I'm from Philadelphia so I guess I'm kind of biased but this was in fact a very bad and horrible cheesesteak not to mention the fact that the service well what can I say about the service not very friendly kind of rude in fact don't go to Ernie's for cheesesteak or for good service
Don't try and order take out to go over the phone. recently they have changed policy, to only will serve you if you are in person at the restaurantThe only people who matter to this business are students forget the local people who have eaten there for years.
The jerk processing orders at the front has an exceptional habit of being short tempered and rude. Do you genuinely think that in times like this your unsavory behavior will resonate with patrons? When I first interacted with this man I dismissed it as an isolated instance. I’m now leaving this restaurant after my third visit wondering why I chose to dine here. I’d recommend any one seeking common decency to dine elsewhere.
For this place to be just a few hours from actual Philly this was the nastiest cheese steak I ever had, super salty ,super mushy, not meaty at all. Threw it away after a few bites.
Ordered a cheesesteak sandwich. Could not eat it because it was soooooo salty. Went into trash! When I called about it being so salty they responded "sorry about that".

Honestly i dont know what these other people are thinking. Ive had cheesesteaks from all around Philadelphia. Id say ernies is bringing south philly to state college.
