Food was great service was bad. Our server only came to our table to take our drink and food order. She never came back for refills for my coffee. She also didn't bring half the food out. Like I was missing gravy on my chicken ask for it on the side never came out. She never check on us so I never got it. Same thing for the creamer too. It was a bad experience and won't be going to this one again.
Excellent food, service and customer service as well.On one occasion, my to-go order wasn't correct and they fixed it at no charge.Since the early days of ordering take-out or curbside food, I've always received excellent service, a willingness to correct any problems and very courteous interactions with anyone on-staff.I highly recommend this Cracker Barrel restaurant.
Did the online wait list since we had a large party of 9 people. Go in and we're told 25-30 minute wait, no problem. After 30 minutes go to check and see if we were getting seated soon after 6 other smaller parties (consisting of 2-4 people per group) get seated, only to be told it'll be another 20-30 minutes! If you didn't want to deal with a large party just tell me up front, especially when I am on a time constraint. Heck I would have had better luck with the either waffle shop in state college for better service today.
We had a lovely time.. Great staff.. Very friendly.. we had the chicken with broccoli with baked potato and macaroni and cheese and the beignets and of course they're famous sweet tea ..Michelle was a great waitress... we will come back again... Thank you to everyone, for making our first time to visit a great one. We will be back..
As always with Cracker Barrel, great food and great service. I experienced exceptional service when I left my tablet behind and drove 5 hours home, and called to see if they found it. They went above and beyond by mailing my tablet back to me, I got it two days later. I am so appreciative!!
I love Cracker barrel! Talk about comfort food... The last time I was there, I ordered the scrumptious roast beef - slow-roasted for up to 14 hours - oh, so delicious! I got mashed potatoes & gravy and those absolutely perfect tender baby carrots. My friend got the Thursday special - turkey, stuffing, sweet potato casserole and cranberry sauce - what a meal!
Catfish and shrimp were great today. Piping hot!
This Cracker Barrel was close to our hotel, making our search for dinner easy. Arriving at about 5:30pm on Valentine's Day, we were promptly seated and greeted by our server, Ace. My wife ordered Chicken Dumplings and I ordered Grandma's Sampler, a breakfast combination, along with a few lemonades. Food arrived in a timely manner and was hot. The Sampler was tasty, although the piece of honey cured ham was a bit dry. Other than that, everything was wonderful and the food hit the spot.
Took a long time to be seated. Nobody was at the hostess podium. After we were seated, we waited a long time for our waitress. Other tables who had a different waitress were taken care of right away. Food came out luke warm. The only things hot were the coffee and syrup. We only ate there because we had a gift card. We won't be back. The service was better in the gift shop!!
This was an interesting experience recommended by my son who has been living in Penn state for more than 3 years. It is a store plus a restaurant. Everything looks old fashioned yet stylish. The place looks very colorful and the staff are super friendly.I ordered a very basic breakfast of eggs, bacon and grits. Grits is essentially porridge and it was my least favorite item. I left it untouched. The eggs and bacon were done just right.Their Cafe Latte was great. If you want to try authentic American breakfast while also browsing through their very interesting store, you should definitely give this place a try.Highly recommended.
