Amanda was an incredible server. Ask for her.she will make sure you get the best service.

Very very limited menu, it was hard for all of us to find something to eat. Waitress was great, drink menu was fine but I can't see every going there again.

Had a very good lunch and they were dog friendly on the deck. Server was the best, I think her name was Amanda. She brought out a water dish for our dog, very appreciative without asking. Food was also very good, recommend the fish sandwich and hot sausage sandwich!

This is my favorite stop in downtown. A little less crowded early on... But good drink specials and good food.

Josh is the best bouncer in all of Penn State. He was so nice and even told my grandmother she didn’t look a day above 21, which flattered her, plus we all thought he was so handsome. Credit to Pickles for hiring such great guys to be bouncers!

This used to be me and my friend’s favorite bars. I don’t know what about their employees has changed in the last semester or how they’re trained anymore, but the experience has begun to be persistently negative, namely with the male bouncers. Bouncing is difficult—but there is a way to do your job without immediately being rude, insulting, and laughing in potential (sober) customer’s faces. When I asked to speak to someone in management for more clarity on the situation, I was once again laughed at and then he told me he was the manager, which I found very hard to believe. I also know people that know of this particular bouncer that confirmed that he’s not a manager later on. My friends and I will not be coming back to Pickles any time soon and if you don’t like being on the receiving end of some dude’s ego trip, I would urge you to go to any other bar instead.

Very friendly barstaff who always keep a fun and safe environment. Great place to get cheap drinks!

The bar was fine, but not the best service!

This place used to be one of my go to places in State College, but it’s gone down hill since COVID last year. I used to go every Wednesday because they had $5 Yuengling pitchers and it was also wing night. They always seem to be out of Yuengling now for whatever reason and the kitchen is always closed. The food is pretty solid when they have it, but you never know.

Had a blast at Bill Pickels.... Great stop after a Nitty Lions Game.
