OMG!!! If you want authentic Italian cuisine-go here!If you want to be treated like Royalty and appreciated for going to this fine establishment-go HERE!!! I have NEVER been treated so kindly and graciously as we felt here. Chris our amazing and charismatic waiter was very charming as well as thee ENTIRE staff! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Italian restaurant ?
Buffet food was cold.Sat for 15 minutes before waiter ask for our drink orderWaiter never come back again until later. Had to get my own coffee. Waited again about 25 minute after finished to get my bill.Only good thing was the piano playing.
Carmella's has been an awful experience that luckily never happened. We called to move our reservation from 7 pm to 8.30 pm, asking repeatedly if it was ok for us to go at 8.30pm or if by any chance that was too late for them. They confirmed clearly that would not have been a problem for them.They called us at 8.25pm saying: " I am sorry we can't wait any longer (longer respect to a reservation that was at 8.30pm??), people want to leave, we cannot accommodate you" and then they literally hung up on us without further explanation. We arrived at 8.30pm in front of the restaurant and it was completely closed suggesting that they probably left a while earlier.We will never go back there and I strongly suggest avoiding going there. They should be ashamed to refer to themselves as an Italian restaurant. Being a born and raised Italian, I assure that this is not the Italian way of treating guests in a restaurant.

We are from upstate NY. Our daughter goes to school at Marywood University. We try to get to a Carmella's at every visit. Best restaurant in Scranton. They treat customers like family.
Nice old-school Italian restaurant. They had Dean Martin playing on the speakers, the food came out at a good pace, and overall it was tasty. The Caesar salad is really good— the dressing is clearly homemade and has a nice brightness from the lemon. Overall, a good stop on our road trip
My son and I went for my birthday dinner yesterday. 5 stars, is not enough. The service was great, thank you Rosanna, you are an amazing lady! Thank you Billy, for the best meal ! Everything was Fantastic and I can't wait to go back.

The worst restaurant I meet in my life the service it’s terrible short in staffs the food wasn’t good and the worst part was 2hrs 35 minutes to get the food too much time wasted.We make complaints about it and the waitress the excuse give me was because they don’t have chef’s who was in the kitchen was the owner of the restaurant cooking nobody else helping him sorry but the customer pay for good service,good food and no waisted 3hrs .
Stuff flounder and the fish was like rubber. Other fish dish came out and had a fowl smell, sent back. A party of four. Two dinners came out and two more came out 15 minutes later. The chef should be ashamed. Will not go back.
