Great food. Had the shrimp appetizer followed by the salmon choice. Generous portions and great taste. Waitstaff were pleasant. When I asked what was available in single malts, the waiter came back after a while with the names hand scribbled on a regular menu. Maybe it was just me and the fact that most around me were having cocktails and/or wine from the drinks menu.
We came here for Valentines day and so glad we did. Loved the atmosphere. The food was outstanding. Very good craft beer selection. Check out the photos. Everyone that works here was so friendly and they took care of all your needs without hesitation. We highly recommend AV. It's excellent!!
The atmosphere and service was great. The food on the other hand was mediocre. We got the meatballs, shrimp and octopus for appetizers - the octopus was too chewy to really eat, the meatballs were dense (tasted frozen) and the shrimp was fine. We also got a couple of the pasta entrees which were okay.Honestly pretty disappointed in the food. Wouldn’t return there are better options in the area.
Where to start... first of all the staff is incredible. Everyone from the hosts to the bartenders and waitstaff make you feel like home. I've eaten here an innumerable amount of times at this point and have enjoyed so many great meals. There have been some misses here and there but anytime I wasn't satisfied was handled appropriately.Secondly, I've played here as a musician on Jazz nights pre-covid and the owners and bar staff treat you like a customer, not like a lesser human which happens at places.Out of everywhere I eat in the Scranton Area this place is the only one I always get excite to eat at. If I had known the Scranton area better, I would've chosen to eat dinner here with my husband rather than our 2 toddlers too. We felt out of our element but the welcoming staff totally alleviated that feeling. So they enjoyed their first upscale dining experience! They loved drinking lemonade from the fancy glasses and eating spaghetti and meatballs. Our waiter was awesome and attentive and all of our food was delicious! We'll be back! What an asset to the quaint downtown Scranton area.
Fantastic food and atmosphere. Everything was absolutely amazing and the wait staff (john), while busy, did a fantastic job and had wonderful input and advice.
Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in NEPA. The filet mignon is outstanding. Everything is cooked to perfection!
