VERY good pizza!!! As Office fans we had to make this a place to eat and we were not disappointed! We ordered the Specialty pizza with deep crust and everything was sooooo good. All their dough is hand made to order so expect a longer wait time than normal, but I can't express enough how freaking amazing this pizza is!!!

We stop here several times a month. Food is good but the service last night and 2 weeks ago was not good. We had 2 young children with us last night and the wait staff seemed confused as to whose table it was. 20 minutes to take our drink order. Toddlers cannot wait that long. We will take a break from Alfredo’s for a while.

We came here clearly because of the office and jokes about it most likely having mediocre food. The service was kind and I feel our serve cared about our experience and the resteruant but other than that it was bad. The mozzarella sticks we ordered we had to send back as it was warm on the outside but the cheese was cold and not melted. I'm sure it was fried, but considering warm outside and cold inside usually means it's microwaved. My wife got a pizza and the mushrooms were canned mushrooms, and I got the double stuffed pizza. When I looked at the description, my impression was that it would be almost like a pizza pie that is sitting on top of another pizza pie. It was really rosemary bread stuffed with cheese and was really oily and over seasoned, and I included a pick of it. I was more Calpine like than pizza. I ended up throwing it out due to heartburn from the amount of grease, and I really don't think I'd recommend this place.

Service was good. Pizza was not my family's favorite but others seem to like it. The restaurant is charming, comfortable, and clean.

Review: Alfredo’s Pizza Cafe Scranton PAYES!! This is the same Alfredo's Pizza Cafe featured in the TV show The Office! I have driven through Scranton hundreds of times driving back and forth between NYC and Upstate NY, and have only stopped in once to check out the Steamtown Railway Museum. On this occasion, I found myself in a hotel near Scranton, and it gave me the perfect opportunity to experience and review a Pizza from Alfredo’s Pizza Cafe! NOT Pizza by Alfredo!I ordered their award winning “Pan Pizza” (with extra cheese) which is similar to a Sicillian pie. As I opened the box, when I saw the ocean of cheese, I wanted to jump in and swim around for a while!  This pizza was done right from start to finish! The perfect amount of sauce! The mozzarella is fresh, and very tasty; and the crust held everything up with a crusty dignity! It’s the kind of pizza that you need to hang out with for a while. The intricate tastes between cheese, sauce, and crust need your full attention.Alfredo’s Pizza Cafe is old school, and has been around for over 40 years! They definitely have a wisdom, love, and passion for pizza making. I also found their prices to be quite reasonable. The Pizza Guys 0-10 scale of Pizza excellence:Cheese: I give the cheese a 10! It is flavorful, moist, done with perfection, and strings out nicely. Not salty, not bland. It really strikes a nice balance in a cheesy world!Sauce: I give the sauce a 10! The sauce tastes like homemade. Not sugary, and not acidic. It holds the pizza together well. Not watery, and they put on the perfect amount! The sauce complements the cheese and crust wonderfully.Crust: I give the crust a 10! The crust has a nice light crusty bite. It’s not overdone, and you can tell that it has been fermented properly. No taste of yeast. Not spongy and not chewy. It breaks properly on the bite, and supports the sauce and cheese without falling apart, or getting soggy. The next day: Cold out of the fridge is my favorite way to go when hungry. Who could resist?? Some food matures in flavor a day later; this pizza is no disappointment. The flavor of the cheese and sauce became more intense; and the crust held it’s integrity.Total Pizza Guy Review Score: I have never given a perfect 10, but this pie deserves it! I have had great pizza all over the globe; this stands tall among some of the best that I have had. Now you have two reasons to stop into Scranton PA! Pizza and Trains! Be sure to catch the episode of the Office where Michael kidnaps the delivery driver from Pizza by Alfredo because he wouldn’t honor Michael’s coupon; but the staff was more upset because Michael ordered from the wrong Pizza Parlor “Pizza by Alfredo.” Then they finally ordered from Alfredo’s Pizza Cafe, and everyone was happy…

My family and most of our friends have been fans of Alfrados and bringing them our business for well over 2 decades and are usually quite satisfied with their food/drinks and their service however we did not have a great visit today 2/21/22 from noon to 2. The pizza we waited at least 80 minutes for came out practically cold but since we had waited for that long having drinks we needed something in our stomachs so we a decent amount of it even though you could tell it was sitting around quite some time before it came out to our table. When we asked to speak to a supervisor/manager we expected some level of apology; we weren’t looking for a free meal but a sorry, perhaps a round of drinks or a measly 10% discount would have been enough but the ‘manager’ expressed that had we not eaten a decent amount of it that he could have ‘possibly’ done something about it but it was too late for anything to be done. It tasted fine but it wasn’t warm. We will often wait for their pizza because we like it and know it takes time but it will always come out hot and it’s usually worth it. This was a very negative experience which unfortunately ended up coming off of the waiters tip as it certainly felt like he choose to let it sit for a while before serving it to us. When we asked to speak to this manager’s supervisor he said he was the owners son and we could go no higher up the chain than him. The whole experience left a bad taste in our mouths and since we couldn’t go higher up the chain and the only sorry we got was sorry you ate too much of it so nothing could be done I had no other choice but to publish this review. Normally we are quite happy. We refer friends and family to this establishment and hold family parties here but today was extremely disappointing. I noticed we were not the only table/customers there that were not satisfied with their service today. Do better for the patrons that have supported your business over the years. Thank you.

The atmosphere is awesome, the staff was great, huge portions! If you are a fan of The Office, you HAVE to pop in for "the good pizza"

You Need To Know? Alfredos has a cozy but large environment. Wait staff was plentiful & courteous. Our food was southwestern mac & cheese, Chicken Corn Chowder, & a tray of there square pizza w/ Xtra cheese. Pizza was doughy & cheese! The dough was airy though not to heavy & filling. The cheese was the stick to the roof of your mouth cheesy good! Mac & cheese was yummy but in need of more spice if your calling it southwestern. Chowder was excellent! Now You Know!

Excellent food and drinks. My go to is a Caesar salad, Buffalo bites, and a plain red tray of pizza.
