First time. Cheese Steak, extra cheese, fried onions, mayo & pickles. SOFT ROLL. A lot of meat!! Which is a GOOD thing but NO PICKLES? Next time, I will get a HARD ROLLS bc by the time they got here with the food, the roll was so soggy & wet that it fell apart. Not greasy but I think the steam from the hot meat made the soft roll wet. Someone else posted the same thing…. MAYBE THE FOOD PREPS SHOULD LISTEN! Suggest a HARD ROLL FOR HOT SANDWICHES!
V&SStop using hotdog buns for your hoagies! Go back to ATV rolls. Very disappointed that a local owned business would downgrade their sandwiches with cheap little rolls when you have a local bakery that has the best rolls in the area that you stopped using. The taste of V&S sandwiches are amazing and I can’t find anywhere else comparable but once they changed the rolls from ATV,I would rather not spend the money anymore since prices went up but quality went down ( only with the rolls)Go back to ATV!!
Well I was raised near V&S and went to school at GMHS, and some 60+ years later return to get a steak sandwich like I remembered and enjoyed. No where near the same and not better then back then, steak not chopped up sauce not covering the entire sandwich just not what would be expected from famous V&S. Will probably never go back to try to recapture days gone by again.
Never an unpleasant experience in the decades my family has been coming here. Always great food and great service. The owner was very friendly on this visit and thanked me for coming in. Will be coming here for years to come.
I love V&S's Cheesesteaks. They just pile the meat in. I have no doubt everything else the have on the menu is just as good.. sure smells good! Pricing is reasonable, too.
So I ordered a small cheese steak, extra cheese, no peppers around 3:15pm on April 15, 2022, and it was precisely one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten in my life and it was made absolutely perfectly. Whoever made this sandwich deserves a raise.
We've always gotten good, fresh sandwiches there. They also have good customer service.
I just ordered a California cheese steak from here and when I opened it, half the meat and insides were spilled out over the side making half the sandwich soggy. Also only had THREE slices of tomato on a LARGE. They should really be updated on child labor laws because they obviously have a 2 year old making sandwiches there. What a mess.
Some of the finest Italian subs in the area. I saw some nightmarish pictures of their subs posted on various social media, but I never had a bad experience with V&S. I still remember getting their subs as a kid all those years ago. Not saying they are perfect every time, but they have been consistently good for as long as I can remember.Tons of meat on good quality rolls. What more can you ask for?The hot dogs left something to be desired. Shriveled messes. They might be on the menu as a tribute to an old, loyal customer who has long been deceased. Because, man, they are rough. But who orders hot dogs from sub shops anyways? You're lookin' at him.
Well i'm Disappointed!!They stopped cooking the meatballs in the spaghetti sauce they now fry them then put sauce on afterwards.Its not the same taste of all the years before The meatballs taste better when they're cooked in the sauce and then put in a roll please revert back to your old ways.Very loyal customer
