We ate at the Pike for the first time prior to a show at the Reverb. It was the best steak meal we have eaten in a loooong time. The service was great and the atmosphere inviting . We highly recommend the Pike and hope to return!!
I always use to come here but they slack with serving. Took off my favorite salad on the menu Caribbean mango salad then my fiancé got shrimp faijas only came with four pieces of shrimp for 18 dollars? Seafood nachos use to come with more seafood and they limited it down so won’t be going anymore
A good friend recommended The Pike and I am so happy he did. The burgers were , excellent, as were the fresh cut fries and crispy wings. You must have the seafood chowder, best ever. And the have their own parking lot across the street. We will be back.
The best wings! Amazing Brussels sprouts, which is a great new addition to menu. My favorite salad is the blackened chicken with apricots and habanero dressing. So my husband brings me all my favorites, but you replaced the apricots with cranberries. That totally changes the salad. Please bring the apricots back? Totally worth the 20 minute drive for take out! . Bell and Evans chicken is the best. We love that you use this chicken! Thank you for serving amazing food!!
Can I give a zero? No silverware, no refills, kept asking us if we were okay but we had nothing, no appetizer, no salads. Hubby's steak was not made as ordered and my mahi was dried out and burnt. We were never offered refills until we were ready to pay the bill. We reminded the waitress that we never got our salads and didn't want them at this point as we were done with our meals, so we asked if that would be reflected in our bill. We were told no, salads are free with the meal so no reduction in the bill. WHAT? You never brought our salads and we're done eating. Your mistake, not ours. She did NOTHING to redeem that less than stellar experience. A teeny bit of customer service could have turned that around, but nope! I'm not sure how there are so many good reviews. Poor service AND the food was seriously lacking and the place was dead, so they couldn't even blame it on being busy. Won't be going back.
The food smelled and looked amazing, but unfortunately we didnt get to eat. We were sat and gotten drinks rather quickly and that was all. It was relatively busy but we never got our order taken and the waitress never checked back in. We waited about a half hour and watched her check other tables multiple times before we decided to leave.
On 2/24/22 a large group of my family and friends visited the pike cafe. We left my father’s funeral service, and our luncheon wasn’t til 1, so we decided to stop in for a drink or 2. We gave the bartender about a 2 minute warning that we were coming in, and he welcomed us in a very professional and friendly manner. However, I can not say the same for the waitress!! She was very rude!! All she was worried about was us not sitting at any of the tables since we weren’t ordering food. She approached multiple people in my party repeating herself numerous times to push everyone around the Bar. She then approached me about a table where some were sitting, and again told me they should go sit at the bar if they are not eating… to which I then replied “THEY ARE UNDERAGE AND A 92 yr old!!” That kind of service is extremely unacceptable at any time, let alone to a family who are mourning the loss of a loved one!!As for the hostess, she was amazing just like the bartender!! She too welcomed us, checked on us throughout the hour we were there and assured us it was no problem at all we were there and even made a point to tell us we were perfectly ok with the children under 21 and the 92yr old at the table! After speaking to several friends about our experience that night, I found out that Corey was our AWESOME bartender, who treated us with nothing but respect! Lily was the AMAZING hostess and Gina was the ignorant waitress!! I also heard the same remarks about her from everyone I talked to and was informed that she is the owners sister and that is why nothing is done about how poorly she treats people! Unacceptable!!!Kudos to Corey and Lily <3
Food was good and even though we were there during peak hour, the waitress didn't forget about us. She checked in, got our food out timely and provided great service. Food was also really good.
It can be tricky to find for folks not familiar with Reading. PLENTY of easy parking makes it worthwhile. Good food in a nice atmoshere. It's not what you expect--but you'll be glad you stopped in.
