Worst Panera I’ve ever been to, consistently and on more than one occasion. Apparently “To Go” order means “Throw random stuff in the bag because we won’t have to correct the order”. I just ordered a corn chowder bread bowl and a tomato soup and grilled cheese. I got a grilled cheese, 2 cups of broccoli cheddar soup, and no bread bowl. I’m bewildered at the poor service. No effort was made to ask me if I was okay with replacements, assuming they ran out of ingredients. The total value of what I received is far less than what I paid for. I called the store at 8:02, which is when I got home, to speak to a manager, and the phone rang for 3 minutes and then stopped ringing. I have my qualms with their hours being altered, but I understand that with labor issues right now, it is what it is. However, I know that there are employees there at 8:02, as I’ve been turned away multiple times around that time. The receipt says “Order checked by [nobody]. Accuracy matters. If your order is not right, please let a manager know.” Please prove that accuracy matters, and also pick up your phone.
Disappointed in the store conditions at 2733 Paper Mill Rd, Reading, PA 19610. The store needs a lot of attention on cleanliness and general maintenance. Molding coming off the wall, walls very dirty and in need of a refresh of paint. The area where food is picked up was dirty, especially by the printer that is on the counter. I do not blame the store conditions on the employees. It is up to the owner to keep up on general maintenance in the store and to instill a clean environment. The staff was very friendly and working hard. This store has been neglected for many years, not just a couple of days. Disappointed that Panera lets this store operate under these poor conditions. Tried to leave this message on the Panera guest care page, but whenever I tried adding the location to submit, it just came back location not found.
Went there on Tuesday with a coworker on our lunch hour. We ordered and it took just over 50 minutes to get our food we ended up having to take to go. I tried the new spicy chicken sandwich and it was awful. Barely any sauce and was rubbery and not very warm. The soup was the only saving grace of the meal and the only thing I had besides the chips. As far as my coworker they gave her the wrong sandwich. Won’t be back for a while.
Horrible place to order for delivery!!! No one answers the phone when you don’t receive your order. What kind of business doesn’t answer the phone??? DoorDash sucks at delivering your food or they don’t deliver at all. No communication whatsoever. They just take your money and that’s it.
I ordered 2 of the same sandwiches and these clowns only made one right and the other is missing bacon, avocado and the Mayo exploded
Ordered a sprouted grain bagel. Got what looked like a flat roll. Thought it to be a mistake and asked but told that is the way they are, but do not look that way up front. And the butter from the freezer, seemed only appropriate in this instance... caveat emptor
Went to Panera to get dinner and they had no bread. It was only 6pm they had no alternative option other than an apple or chips. I was highly upset. Did not even offer a gift certificate for next time or a discount. My order required bread for the meal and it was made sloppy since they just used plain white bread. Reached out to the general manager Eric. He offered to give me a free pic two to replace my order. Gave him all the details and then never heard from him again. Never even received the gift certificate. I reached out to him two other times and nothing. I did another customer service review and haven’t gotten anywhere. Horrible customer service.
Always great. Love the food. Very helpful staff. They help the disabled, if they’re asked, in terms of carrying plates to the table, etc.
Amazing staff and delicious food. Impressed with quality of food during busy times. My favorite Panera! Charles helped me and he was just FANTASTIC! Stellar management. During these hard times they are going above and beyond. Some of these reviews have obviously never worked in customer service. Great store!!!!!
Staff is overworked and deserves better. Ordered rapid pickup coffee and all the self-serve things were out, even hot water. Waited for a long time for them to be filled when it should have been an in-and-out trip. The coffee itself, though obviously fresh, was watery and had no flavor. They were also out of sweeteners, flavors, and all creamer options except a drip of half-and-half. Overall not worth the trip I made just to use the coffee subscription, which is only "unlimited" in that you get a credit every 2 hours. Will also be canceling that due to the long wait time, poor quality of the coffee, and rude response from management when I asked about my order.
