First time visiting after friend in area recommended the crab cakes, more crab than filler. We tried them and they were delicious. Husband got clams casino and I had French onion soup- very tasty. I saw a couple that got the Lobster thermador and it looked great (will try next visit). Pricing is fair for the quality of food. Server (Zach) was busy but attentive. We sat by the fireplace (23 degrees outside) and it was cozy. This place is a hidden gem. Will definitely be coming back. (Reservations recommend).
5 stars for atmosphere 2 stars for waiting an hour and overpaying for mediocre food. I was a little embarrassed for bragging about how good the food was before taking my friend along. Something has changed.

Owner is friends with a sum of the customers that leave positive reviews, otherwise those who do not know the owner prefer to eat elsewhere. lobster is too soggy, burgers are always burnt, steak is usually always either too well done or too rare, never the temperature I order.

The food was excellent, the service was excellent . Highly recommend Bixler's !!!! Just a tip make a reservation !!! Enjoy Berks County one of my top 5 favorite places to dine alone or with friends.
Great atmosphere. Quick service.Prime Rib is delicious. So are the Lambchops.The potroast melts in your mouth.I would suggest making reservations.
