On the plus side what I did get tasted okay but my dish was missing some of the listed items and no nachos and salsa anymore. For the price I was very disappointed and will not return here anymore

First time in this quiet family restaurant. Tequila drinks were good. There is a small maybe 8 stool bar area and the rest of the room is table seating. Service was good. The food was ok. I have had better Mexican food. But it was fine. Just didn't "wow" us!I had salmon dish with rice and broccoli. The salmon was a little overcooked(dry). My dining partner thought his side of beans were fresh from the can. But we liked the place and it would be worth another try.

Not sure if there was a change in management or the fact that the emoloyees are all young and just do not care. I have dined in this establishment many times and could tell right away something was off. The young lady who went to the kitchen to retrieve my food decided it was a good idea to hold a conversation (joking/laughing) with the boys in the kitchen while holding my food in her hands. Food was extremely cold by the time she decided to give it to me. Food had absolutely no flavor. The carne asada was cooked on one side. The nachos we ordered had no cheese and stale chips. We ordered two orders of fajitas that did not come with any tortillas. Had to go to the nearest grocery store to purchase tortillas. Unreal!!!

Always a great experience here. The food is wonderful and the service fantastic. Authentic Mexican cuisine. You must try their chili rellanos and the Poblano soup is excellent

Got the -Carne Asada street tacos-, "NO CILANTRO". Ordering no cilantro apparently also means, "no cilantro and NO ONIONS". Disappointing! The corn tortillas are amazing and fresh. The tomatillo sauce was surprisingly spicy just the way I like it, but for my wife it was followed up with a glass of milk lol. My wife had "Al Pastor tacos" which she said were good, but when you have worked for a top notch Mexican restaurant in the past other places just won't measure up. We got there at about 8pm on a friday to order takeout, 10 minutes later we had our food and were headed home. The dine in atmosphere seemed really good, everyone seemed to be happy and enjoying themselves. Definitely worth the trip and menu prices are fair.

My local family in Reading has been a fan of Alebrije for years. We just moved here recently and glad they recommended this restaurant as it's close to our house. The service was fantastic. The restaurant was cute and clean. The fresh guac was delicious. Our dinners were also very tasty. We had some dinner-special chicken enchiladas and beef tacos. So good and a great value. The only "complaint" we have is that they no longer serve black beans as the manager said they rarely were ordered. No problem. I loved the refried beans! We still highly recommend Alebrije if you're in the mood for some tasty Mexican.

I hate posting stuff like this, but it is warranted. It's clean, food is delicious, service is usually fast once someone finally takes your order.Last time we waited at the bar for 10 mins for the bar tender to ask if we wanted food before taking our drink order. Got drunk and didn't think about.Came back, and 5 people were sitting around rolling silverware and on their phones, 3 tables were sat in the whole restaurant, 2 people at the bar.. We waited for a little until one of them finally came over and said "Drinks"... We Ordered. Then "Ready?" We ordered food. Better service in prison.I really like this place. It's ashame.

We went to the one on Perkiomen Ave this week with a friend. I have driven by it numerous times and finally decided to check it out.The restaurant was clean and the wait staff helpful and friendly. The food was super bland. I got a taco salad that came in the standard tortilla bowl. The meat was topped with lettuce and cheese and that was it. The meat didn't taste like it had any seasoning on it and looked like it was in some kind of gravy. I have eaten my fair share of taco salads and this one was the least appetizing. Their house margarita makes it sound like they make it fresh but it tastes like a cheap margarita mix that you buy at the liquor store. I should have driven the extra few miles to Plaza Azteca or just gone to Moe's.

Always good, fast, friendly staff, great food, drinks and fried ice cream.

Stopped in for lunch yesterday (5th Street Highway Location) and sat at the bar and had an excellent meal. First time trying this place and we will DEFINITELY be back! Excellent food, service, atmosphere and portion price. Best mexican food I have ever experienced.
