This was the first time eating at this restaurant. We heard great things and figured we'd give it a try. Service was slow at first but the owner was very apologetic about the mishap. Things only got better from here. The plate of different breads and the dipping oil was amazing! The food was superb and used fresh ingredients like spinach, mushrooms, and seafood. The portions were huge and both my husband and I left with seconds for the next day. We'll definitely be back! My only disappointments were the sauce for the fried calamari (although my husband liked it) and the pre-grated cheese to top the pasta with. This is just being nit picky though. I definitely recommend visiting this restaurant!
We were there on Sunday night for are anniversary for the all you can eat crab legs. We had a reservation for 6 o'clock. We got there early and got our table at 6. As we sat down at our table we were told they were out of crab legs. They opened at 4 how do you run-out in two hours? I'm on a no carb diet so eating pasta was out for me. So we had to go somewhere else. As we were leaving there are probably 20 people outside waiting for tables that where not told they where out of crab legs. Looks to me they just did that to bring people in then a bate and switch. We are usually easy going when it comes to eating out with me being a chef and my girlfriend being a general manager of a Restaurant but this didn't seem right.
The food is good service is good. I haven't have a bad meal there yet. Everyone is always running around and busy when we go. The staff is nice and funny. Last time I was there we had their special and it was so good. It was a truffles pasta in a cream sauce. I recommend 100%.
It’s really a shame. The food is very good, but this restaurant cannot handle the volume of people. The kitchen was very slow and the service was terrible. Our server was doing her best, but clearly had too many tables. We sat for at least 10 minutes before she greeted us initially and it just went downhill from there. 2 people in our party ordered “All You Eat Crab Legs” at $44 each. They had a plate and a half each (small plates). It took at least a half hour between plates. Clearly not worth the money. We ended up having to leave without dessert because we ran out of time. The ladies room had no toilet paper or paper towels. One guest had to run napkins from our table to accommodate another in the bathroom. Terrible! This was extra disappointing, as we were celebrating my husband’s 60th. Needless to say, we won’t be back.FYI…2 days later, I spoke with the owner, Angelia. She listening and apologized profusely, explaining she had more than enough staff set up, but several called out. She also mentioned they hadn’t done an “All You Can Eat Crab legs” in 2 years and will not do them for a while (and if they do, they will be advertised). The next day, I received a well-written letter, apologizing again and inviting our entire family back for dinner on her. She is trying to make things right. Impressive! I have a renewed respect for Piccolo Mondo and will consider returning one day.
Tasty food and nice environment. The space is clean inside. There appears to be some outdoor seating.
Excellent good, atmosphere and staff. Thanks for making our group experience so positive. We just made reservations to return with double the people. Hats off to chef Clay.
Was a mix up with reservation time but they were very gracious and solved the problem quickly considering how busy it was. We had 12 in our party and Gabrielle, our waitress, was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their food. BYOB. They also kept our white wine cold and allowed us to bring our own birthday cake.Overall, a very enjoyable birthday celebration and a job very well done by the mgt. & staff.
This was our 1st there but will not be out last . The food was amazing . Our waiter Adam made the experience even better. Great personality .
Great food and even better people. They treat you like family and oh my god the bread!!!!
The food is fantastic. I ordered trays of food for Easter and everything was cooked fresh and it was delicious. I highly recommend any chicken dish!
