Thought it was pretty bland. Rubbery canned mushrooms. Big portion, couldn't eat it all.Picked/ate the steak off the sandwich, no seasoning.House sauce just tasted like mayo.Ate a tomato by itself, tasted rotten but looked ok.Not sure why the place is so busy.
Best place ever!!! I crave this every time i am home. The fresh Mancini’s bread always makes it! Never had a bad order. Definitely suggest this place if you love a good classic cheesesteak!!
I do not usually write bad reviews, and this is the first time I've been here. The moment I walked in I noticed none of the staff had smiles on their faces or said hello. I placed my order for a sub, and asked for lettuce tomato on the side since I had a half hour drive home. The cashier gave me my order number and I sat down and waited a short time.The female prep cook murmured my order number and placed my to-go bag on the counter. As I walked over I asked to confirm my order number - with no response. The mail prep cook next to her confirmed my order number, and I said thank you have a great night - no response.They forgot my lettuce tomato on the side, and the sub and fries, (you have to pay extra for fries when normally they would come with your order if you don't place to take out order, to which they said my only option was take out, upon placing my order) was mediocre. I'm not a sandwich critic, but you'd be better off going somewhere else in that area. If the food was better, I wouldn't be here writing this review.First and last time I'll be eating here, and surprised at the lack of competency and kindness with the workers at this establishment. Train your employees better or find another job. PASS
It was my first Philadelphia cheese steak, so I don't know what they should be like. But the one I got at Uncle Sam's was very good, the size is enormous, and I believe for Europeans we would be enough just half of it. It comes with fries which makes it big portion.
Really good subs, and the fries are top notch! Really fast service too and the staff is really friendly. A meal is generally around $10- $14 and you are probably going to take some leftovers home. I personally haven't tried all their offerings but so far they have not disappointed once.

We were so excited to try this place based upon the reviews but it was disgusting and disappointing! TBH, Charley's inside the mall which I consider a "chain," and sub par most of the time kills this place! I had the Uncle Sam and my husband had a similar sandwich (cheese steak). Who knew you had to ask for the onions to be cooked with the meat? Not only were the onions cold but I asked for hot peppers rather than sweet peppers yet was given sweet peppers. The mushrooms are canned and not fresh which would be fine but they weren't cooked either. They were cold like the onions. The sub was soggy from the peppers and the rest of the toppings. Had the sub itself not been soggy there was nothing exciting about the bread and it wasn't fresh. I ate two small bites and threw my entire sub away. My husband was starving like myself and tried to force himself to eat his but didn't eat much more than I did and threw his away. This is coming from two people who absolutely hate to be wasteful but had I tried to force myself I would have gotten sick. For a cheaper and way better steak sandwich or sub travel a bit further to the Strip District and go to Peppi's.
The Ultra Mushroom Cheesesteak is probably my favorite here. Always made fresh and free fries if you dine in. It's become my go to for cheesesteaks in Pittsburgh.
Ultra Philly is excellent with a beer.
Food is bomb prices for subs range from 8-10$ 10inches so good. Place is classy and clean staff all looked styled. Abit high tentions but it's a bar aswell so they deal with alot it's not bad. All gloved up cooked in front of you. Only if here is no mask n that's controversial but for those that care I over looked it food sooo good. Also I missed out! If u dine in u get FREE fries!!!!!
