This is a classic Pittsburgh deli and butcher shop. Mom and Pop style small business. Prices are fair and the meat/deli items are phenomenal. It only gets 4/5 for me because they only have day hours and it's hard to shop here if you have a 9-5. Try to catch them on a Saturday morning if you can't get there during the week.
Super busy, but they're super friendly! Best cuts are gone by the end of the day, but they are super helpful in choosing a good cut for you.
I have known Tom for a long time. I have been shopping there for close to 25 years now and I've never gotten any bad product from them. Today July 2nd 2022 I got a $129 meat order with some add ones. The ham salad that I ordered was absolutely delicious and very fresh tasting. And all the meat that I got was absolutely gorgeous it was nice and marbled, and it was wrapped in double Butcher's wrap which is very nice because you can put it directly into the freezer If you want. I bought some of Tom's homemade gyro burgers and they were absolutely delicious my husband loved them!!!!! Believe me there is no way that you can go wrong especially with today's prices by shopping at Fridays it's really worth your money..
First class butcher shop/deli. Immense selection of meats and smoked/cured meats. Items i saw being sliced in the deli looked amazing. Nice variety of sauces and rubs, condiments, Mancini bread, to say the least. An asset to the Northside community.
The best meats around. Worth the trip to appreciate premium meats from a real butcher shop
I've never been into the store so I can't say anything about the store or the employees. But I was given a hoagie to try, it's very good! It's decent size and the price is cheap!
Great local butcher, good quality meats, cut to order, been around for decades, need more local mom & pop neighborhood places like this.
Tom Fridays it's one of those places where you can't help but love if you're 50 years or older you can appreciate a bone-in chuck roast a bone in rib steak a bone-in chuck steak you can't even find any of those things anywhere they look you like you're crazy when you ask for a bone in piece of meat the bone makes a huge difference try to find a Ron steak with a bone in it what happened in this country nobody wants to do anything right if you want that old fashioned roast that Grandma used to make with the meat potatoes and carrots you got to go see Tom Troy he's the only one in the city that cut me a bone-in chuck roast the way I wanted it
They have some of the best meats in the city and they have some good prices on the things you need give them a try
Great place, great quality. Staff at meat counter was super helpful and super friendly.
