The reservation was booked and confirmed, but the restaurant was closed
Had a reservation for Fathers Day. Showed up and doors were closed because of a gas leak, no call or anything to cancel our reservation. I understand that needed to be taken care of, but I feel like you should have called your customers to let them know.
While the set up of this place seems really great and fun (self serve beer straight from the tap) it’s an absolute rip off. My boyfriend had three beers and paid $26 while I had 2 and paid $16. That’s absolutely insane in my opinion as a beer connoisseur. Food and service was average. Would recommend checking it out but this is not a place to go often in my opinion.
Ryanne is great! She took really good care of our party of 9 for my son's graduation celebration!
They have a false advertisement for their Happy Hour on the website. The website lists half off appetizers and drafts, yet upon arrival they informed us that the new Happy Hour deals were in effect, which were $5 select fried appetizers and 25% off limited drafts. The new food selections were small and not particularly good, and the false promotion lead to a much less enjoyable time for my party.
I was SO excited to come as I saw the chef on an episode of Plate it Pittsburgh and the menu sounded amazing. I may have worked myself up to the point where anything less than fantastic would be a disappointment… and that’s what happened. We stayed long enough to have brunch and order regular menu items for takeout. Pro: amazing self-serve beer selection; nice atmosphere/vibe; our waitress was great as far as remembering our orders and knowing the menu items; a few of the menu items were good (All-In Fries, Home Fries, Bourbon French Toast). My sister said the chicken tacos were delicious. Cons: overall the food was just “ok”. I was not impressed by the hot chicken and waffles as it was a smallish portion, the chicken was mostly breading and the waffle had no flavor. The chicken seemed to be a small piece that was sliced and separated atop the thin waffle to make it look more substantial. Not bad, but also not great. My friend’s waffles were so burnt, they were inedible. Then she subbed it out with fries, and there was a hair in them. She just had a bad day. Everyone else’s food was deemed “ok”. No one was impressed and no one wants to return for the food. Perhaps beer …and maybe fries? But overall, I was disappointed.
This is a fun casual spot to meet friends. You pour your own drinks and pay by the ounce. The food is fine, nothing special but not bad. I would probably go back more to drink than to eat.
We had a truly wonderful experience at The Vault Taproom! Our waitress Corinne (hope I spelled this correctly) was absolutely fantastic- so kind, helpful, and just all around cheerful! Being able to taste and pour your own beer was really great and so fun to try what you probably wouldn’t have been able to before. This takes some heat off the servers and bartenders-brilliant. Now the food, I had the cauliflower po boy and it was absolutely delicious. My friends had the Kalua Pork Tacos, Smoked Brisket Rueben, and the Chef Smash Burger- we also had the fried green tomatoes that were excellent. We were all highly satisfied with our food and the servings are huge. You shouldn’t leave hungry from here. The entire experience was top notch and i highly recommend for a casual night out
Great new happy hour! Love the vault.
Had a reservation for 5 people, got sat at a table set up for 4 with just enough room for 4 people. Luckily one of our party didn’t end up coming or we would not have had enough room. Very loud, but it was happy hour so I’ll give them that much. Service was very slow and lackluster. Had to ask for drinks, sauces & even a forgotten part of a sandwich ordered. Overall, good happy hour spot for drinks and apps, otherwise pass.
