AVOID this place!!!Slow service, a service fee and small portions and terrible food!Took forever to get anything from the waitressThey charge a 18% service fee for who knows what reason.Someone ordered a "Shareable" Mac n Cheese and got a toddler bowl of cold Mac n cheeseThe Nashville "Hot" Chicken - barely any sauce on it so asked for more (which took like 10 min) and the sauce they use is about as spicy as ketchup.Which I could go back in time and skip this dump
I met my sister here for dinner and a few drinks and luckily landed during happy hour which had half-price cocktails and half price appetizers. The roasted brussel sprouts and the pulled pork poutine were both really good and filling enough that we ended up not getting an entree at all. The front doors were open to the street because it was one of the first nice spring days of the season and made the ambiance just that much more enjoyable. The server was very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. I'll have to go back to try the beer selection, but the cocktails were too good of a deal to pass up. Well recommended to try this place.
Amazing place for brunch! The food IS WAY TOO GOOD for a bar!!! They can totally survive just a restaurant. The beer menu is like 6 pages long so you'll surely find something you like here!!! Highly recommend!!
Hungry? The brunch proportions here are huge.I chose the Chicken on a Biscuit and could not finish my plate, although if you had an empty stomach you may bring this dish to it's knees pretty quickly because it does not miss in flavor, or in quality of ingredient.Brunch group beverage options include pitchers of mimosas, premixed bloody mary's and more. I enjoy orange juice in a fancy glass and some water and encourage everyone to choose their own beverage journey.Parking can be tough at this location if the lot immediately next to the building is full so be prepared for this if you are driving into the city.Stay friendly. Thanks for having me!
The waitress was OK. Took an hour for food. My wives Fish was cold. My Bison burger small and OK. My daughter had the cheese steak and it still had the paper in the sandwich. She bit steak and paper. The manager was nice and gave us Credits and free drinks. May never come back.
On a scale of romances to documentaries, The Urban Tap is a modern romance. We arrived at 11 am for the Saturday and Sunday brunch, and with just two of us, we were able to be immediately seated. It was clear that they were busy, but the team was great about taking care of us.The brunch menu boasted a list of fabulous items so we opted to order three entrees: Chicken on a Biscuit, Sweet Waffle Board, and the Cajun Shrimp & Avocado Benedict. I also ordered two Valentine's Day cocktails: Love Potion and Cupid's Cocktail. Beautifully arranged and an amazing blend of flavors, we could barely discern a favorite dish as we loved them all. While The Urban Tap definitely feels like a bar (dark lighting), the brunch was absolutely magical, and I highly recommend!Pro Tips: park around the block on a side street where you don't have to pay for parking & take a walk after brunch
This is my favorite bar in Pittsburgh. There are so many options for beer and the food is amazing. I always go with friends for trivia in Thursday's and it is a great time. They have great deals every day of the week too!
Went on a Thursday night for trivia. It was a lot of fun and I highly recommend their loaded tots! Our waitress was nice but it did take a really long time to get drink refills and our food.
This place is the bomb! The food is ? and with 100 beers on tap you're sure to find a new fave, like the curious gourd or the flying fish fried ice cream ??
We had a great time at the urban tap. We stopped in for a quick bite and some coffee before a show at the club café. We got the brussels sprouts and they were cooked to perfection. They were just the right crispiness and we’re quite delicious. Gmr
