Excellent service. Incredible seafood gumbo.
My wife and I stopped in for a couple beers before a hockey game and loved the atmosphere. The bartender was great as well. Definitely a good spot to relax and have a drink!
The food was very good I had the chicken sandwich which was very very good. The staff was extremely helpful.
Fantastic place to eat and drink in the Omni William Penn. Danny is one helluva bar tender.
Great bet selection in a cozy 1920's atmosphere.
Wow. This place has declined quickly. Once one of my favorite spots in Pittsburgh, it's now on my list of "once great...now gone." I would go to The Tap Room maybe two or three times a year when I was in the mood for a serious drink in a quiet, nostalgic atmosphere. Time was when the bartenders were knowledgeable, professional and friendly (bow ties and vest). The atmosphere of the room was a throw back to an earlier time, warmly lit, cozy and quiet. Very classy in an old fashioned way. When I stopped in recently, I found it had transformed to a typical Pittsburgh sports bar. Hey. I like those too, but they can be found anywhere. It was loud, crowded and the new bartender was rude and clueless. He had no idea how to make a pretty basic cocktail. Another hidden Pittsburgh gem gone for good. A real shame.
Nice environment, friendly bartender. Good selection of liquor. The food menu looked tasty but didn't try any of it.
We have been to the Tap room a few times. It's one of our stops while in Pittsburgh. Had the fish sandwich and sweet potato fries. Both where fantastic. More than enough to share. Looking forward to next time we are in town and can stop again.
Danny, the bartender makes this place! A very warm, intimate place for drinks and some good grub. One ?due to replacing the beautiful 100 year old wood bar top with granite?!?! All beautiful woods except that.
Great drinks and service, and a beautiful place.
