My friend and I are visiting Pittsburgh and decided to try this restaurant when we left the Carnegie Library. It's a very nice place, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Nice ambience. We decided on indoor seating, as the day was fine and the outdoor seating was therefore quite busy. The waitstaff are pleasant, friendly, and attentive. They don't hover, but they're good about checking if you need anything without being too intrusive. David is pretty awesome, if you get lucky enough to get him as your server. And Joseph goes out of his way to maximize your experience, as well. The food is fantabulous. And very reasonably priced, considering the thought and care taken with the flavor profiles. Compliments to the chef!

I had the best lunch here! My waitress Audrey was so friendly and helpful and made me a special cocktail that hit the exact flavors I was looking for. The lobster mac 'n cheese was to die for - they don't skimp on the lobster and the sauce is delicious. In addition to the excellent service, The Porch was a fantastic venue with lots of outdoor seating, which allowed me to enjoy the wonderful weather.

1st time here what a great little place to enjoy some drinks and good food. Salmon Burger was amazing. The staff was very kind and courteous

I’ve been to this restaurant several times and it’s a unique place to dine in, specially if you’re taking visitors to Oakland to meet the cathedral of learning and its surroundings. There’s a reasonable food variety in their menu, including gluten free choices (including bun for sandwiches). My four-star review is related to my most recent visit, which we did during a holiday for lunch. The place was crowded and disorganized, something expected for the prime hours and day. However, I think the restaurant needs some organization to better manage the high influx of customers without putting its quality in jeopardy. If you want a better experience, visit it out of rush hours.

Had lunch at the porch on a Friday. You order at the register then get a number and they serve your food. Had a chicken sandwich it was very good my daughter had a burger also good. They had taters that were excellent. Also had cocktails and beer. Good set up in a good spot right on campus at Pitt U. I herd this is where the students go with there parents. Good service. Clean. Definitely would eat here again.

Terrific restaurant next to Pitt campus- and not too expensive. ample outdoor seating. cornbread, calamari & zucchini appetizer, burrata salad, all excellent. short walk from Carnegie Museums, Library, Music Hall

Always enjoy eating here. So many choices and daily specials! Lovely assortment of cocktails and draft beer selection.

Lovely atmosphere, great food, friendly and attentive service

Went while on a visit with our daughter. Food and service were excellent. Place was crowded and a bit noisy but it was Friday night in a college town, didn’t detract from our experience. Highly recommend. We’ll be back next time we’re in Pittsburg!

The food is delicious! Very clean restaurant and great staff. Beautiful place to eat especially during the summer with the great scenery at the outdoor seating.
