So much better! Service was outstanding.

The Abbey on Butler Street is a delightful restaurant in the Lawrenceville area of Pittsburgh. There is a lovely outdoor patio area which is perfect for the summer weather, even on days when there are summer rainstorms. There are many areas of the Abbey including a coffee and bakery as well as a bar. We got great service from Megan M who dealt with two rainstorms in one day. We loved the citrus fennel salad and the fish and chips. Would recommend and would happily go back.

Excellent service and a great brunch spread to pick from!

Food was excellent. Drinks were very good. Super friendly staff and prompt and attentive service. Courtyard is beautiful and the inside space is cozy and warm.

Great service. Our server was friendly, attentive and had great suggestions. We went for brunch and had nice enough weather to sit outside. Lovely patio. Great setting. The brunch was underwhelming. I had the Abbey brunch plate and it was as bland as eating at Denny's. Was hoping for more flavor/spices/taste! I would return for coffee/cocktails and the curry fries. But brunch, most likely not.

Food and drink was good! Nice outdoor atmosphere. Waitess very nice. Shout out to Amanda.

Delicious food, with a charming atmosphere. The outdoor patio with lights was really nice at night.

We loved our time at The Abbey. The lattes were AMAZING, especially the rose!! 💜💜💜 We would have loved the experience even more if it was more seamless, as you have to cash out in “each” area before moving to the next, even in the bar area when we were having drinks, nothing was transferable. This just interrupted things as we started out in the coffee bar, then the bar, and finally dinner! One check for the entire time would have been awesome!! Thanks for a nice evening. We will be back again for sure!

Food was excellent, as was the service by Meagan. Outside courtyard dining is lovely. Chris was kind enough to give us a tour of the historical inside rooms. Quite a fascinating place.

Except for a silly seating conversations upon arrival, our visit to The Abbey was totally wonderful. Two of us chose the fish and chips which is served with mildly spicy ketchup and tartar sauce over fresh and crisp French fries. You can request a bun if you want to make a sandwich. Our third companion had a turkey club. She's not a big eater but she gobbled up every bit of the sandwich. She had a choice of fries, pasta salad, or a green salad as her side. I have always been a fan of their delicious hamburgers, but passed on this occasion. However I was happy to see a few diners around us getting the burgers, which still look large, juicy, and satisfying. We all chose tea and lemonade combinations as our beverages and I'm sorry to report that I thought it was below par ... tasted artificial. The courtyard has good seating, a beautiful fountain, and enough umbrellas to block most of the Sun on a very bright day. However, be careful of your seating placements because it took our request that we move until we got a spot that was adequately shaded.
