First time having dinner there and all I can say is the sushi was fantastic. My wife had hibachi and says it was excellent. We will be going there more. Best sushi around

I got the fried dumplings, edamame app (spicy garlic), a spicy shrimp roll and a Philly roll with fresh salmon (+$1). Everything was excellent. I will say I think the steamed dumplings are better. Also the fresh salmon with the Philly roll is much better than the smoked salmon that usually comes in it. Definitely would recommend sushi tomo!

Pretty good sushi spot in the North Hills! There aren't too many good options for Asian food near Ross Park, so this is a good choice! I tried the cold sesame noodles, haru maki, Tomo roll, and tuna roll. When I first tried the cold sesame noodles, I was a little disappointed. The sauce was too runny in my opinion, and it had a sauce that was heavy on the salt/soy sauce. I prefer cold noodles with a sauce that is thicker and similar to tahini. However, as I ate it more, I began enjoying it more! The portion is very fair and the sauce is not bad, either. 3.6/5Haru maki is very similar to a spring roll. I loved it! It was full of vegetables and had a light sweetness to it. There was a perfect balance of crunchy on the outside and smooth, delicate vegetables on the inside. The sauce it was served with is also excellent (it's quite sweet but I like it that way)! 4.5/5 just because the portion is somewhat small. The Tomo roll is very tasty! The eel on top is not soggy; rather, it is lightly sweet and flavorful. Sauce has a nice sweet flavor. The avocado is also quite fresh. The shrimp tempura on the inside with crunchy and well made all around. It's a bit expensive, but still fair. 4.5/5. This is my first time trying plain tuna sushi. I thought it wasn't very flavorful at first, but it is quite good when dipped in soy sauce. The roll is well made and the fish is fresh. Portion for the price is okay. 4/5.Overall, this is a nice place to get sushi in the North Hills. Their special rolls are exciting and flavorful. The haru maki is great if you love spring rolls, and I've heard the egg rolls are amazing as well. May come back to try the Chinese dishes like General Tsos!

Very friendly and efficient service. The food was delicious. And they have a bar! I will definitely go back again. Oh and they have takeout too. I got the Teryaki Shrimp and it was excellent

Love this place! Super chill atmosphere, food is amazing, the menu has a lot of options without being overwhelming, and staff is friendly and quick!I got the Tonkotsu Ramen and it was so delicious. Everything was cooked just right, especially the soft boiled egg, and the broth was amazing. We also ordered sushi: a Tomo Roll, a Dragon Roll, a Philly Roll, and 2 pieces of Tamago Nigiri. Everything was absolutely fantastic! I particularly like their eel sauce. I asked my server for a recommendation for some sake and she pointed me to the Momokawa sake. It was smooth and delicious, and had a really pleasant honey finish. So glad she suggested it!I highly recommend Sushi Tomo!

A little pricey for lunch, but beautifully done sushi, fresh and delicious. Great service, too.

Love this place so much. Had our first date here. So many delicious items, sushi is good! We’ve had pork tonkatsu, chicken cheese rolls (cry with me about them being gone off the menu), so many kids of chicken. Really a gem in North Hills.

We've been visiting Sushi Tomo for years, and have picked up a ton of food during the pandemic. The food is always delicious, the sushi fresh, and the cocktails are phenomenal! (Cocktails are dine-in only) Don't get me started on the Sapporo discounts...

We loved coming here for two reasons. Their Amazing Chicken WAS ALWAYS amazing with plenty left over to take home. Their Sushi platter was fresh and enjoyable. Sadly enough this time the Amazing chicken was NOT so amazing. Instead of the nice big pieces of breaded chicken , we received small strips of heavily breaded chicken that was so tough you needed a knife to cute the strips (that looked like clam strips ). Perhaps a new cook ? It was quite disappointing honestly. Please bring back the REAL Amazing Chicken. Probably won't be back for awhile. Too bad.

I've been coming to Sushi Tomo for years and their food never disappoints! I recently tried the Miso Ramen and it was incredible! It was prefect for a cold day. Their gyoza is also the best in Pittsburgh! I cannot recommend Sushi Tomo enough. I have always had positive experiences and great customer service! I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a great meal and to support a local business!
