Great experience at Sub Zero. Fun and highly-customizable ice cream flavors that taste creamier than regular ice cream. Root beer + cherry tastes like Cherry Coke. Brownie batter and Mint also are really good, either separately or together. Bridget, thank you for 'being you'... such an amazingly nice and cheerful person. You really made our visit so positive and memorable!
Really good experience here. Service was great and I understood the spot’s concept perfectly. Tried the dragon breath cereal bites and some chocolate ice cream, and both were great - the dragon’s breath cereal balls are unique and really enjoyable. Also had pretty decent prices. Definitely stop by if you want an enjoyable experience in a welcoming atmosphere.
The ice cream was delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They made our order quickly and the serving size was great. I would highly recommend stopping in.
Absolutely pleasant experience. The owner was friendly and kind and made sure our ice cream was perfect and exactly how we wanted it. The ice cream was absolutely delicious and the service was equally as wonderful. We will be returning without a doubt. Don't pass up this yummy little business :)
Hands down the best customer service and exceptional ice cream! The ladies working there were so friendly and ensured we loved our ice cream. I also really appreciated the fact that they had the allergen info displayed where you order. We will definitely be back!
Donna and Lisa have been warm and welcoming no matter where I’ve interacted with them and when; Instagram, Steel City Con (twice), or at their home base in ShadySide. I’ve had many flavors and I’ve never been dissatisfied. THEY make the business though, not just the delicious and innovative ice cream. No wonder the lines are always long! Yall have the best ice cream in the world. I absolutely have an addiction to Subzero!I'm only giving 3 stars because every day around 2 o'clock I get a craving that's uncontrollable for ice cream and so I go and start heading to sub zero and then I remember they don't open until 4 o'clock people need ice cream during the day!(Update)I'm changing my review to 5 stars because subzero may open late but they also stay open late.I had a late night craving at 9:45 pm and sub zero got the job done like alway!
The people who work here are the nicest! This is a great place to go - the employees are super friendly and you're bound to leave in a good mood. If you're interested, the workers will tell you about the science going in while they make the ice cream. I think the level of customization is really amazing. You can have ice cream, fat-free ice cream, sugar-free ice cream, yogurt, custard, vegan, or Italian ice with basically unlimited flavors. For those who might find the options to be overwhelming, they have some pretty awesome looking "sensations" that are pre-customized options that have themes. I highly recommend!
