My wife and I booked the South Side BBQ Food Truck for our wedding reception this past weekend. It was excellent! On the day of the event, Pat and his team were a hit, delivering great food and service to our guests. They were on time and professional throughout the event. Even better than the food was Pat's patience and willingness to walk me through the process of booking his truck. He was extremely responsive and kind and made sure I received all the documents I needed in a timely manner. I couldn't recommend him and his truck more and I'm so grateful for his helping in making our reception such a special day!
Southside Barbecue brought their food truck to cater our wedding on Saturday - and it was an absolute home run!Pat and his team were incredibly kind and professional, and our guests were all promptly served during dinner. Our guests also all LOVED the food! Southside Barbecue brought an amazing spread of meats, sandwiches and sides, and there wasn’t a hungry guest at the wedding. We couldn’t recommend looking to Southside Barbecue more for delicious food and amazing catering! Thanks again, Pat and Southside Barbecue!
Totally disappointed with cheese burger no lettuce or pickles or sauce. I also requested fresh cut fries and baked beans with my order. I did not get get the fresh cut fries.
I was not a fan of this place. I was considering using them to cater my daughters graduation party but after tasting the food I was severely disappointed. I paid $64 for an 8 Oz beef brisket (which reminded me of a poorly done sloppy joe), pulled pork which had no favor without the sauce and was severely underwhelming, and a whole flavorless smoked chicken. The mac n cheese seemed like it came out of a box and we didn't even eat the rest. I went in twice to try this and the service was terribly slow which made me walk out the first time I went. It may be good to others but was no good for my family Not worth my money.
My friend and I placed pickup orders here however when we went to pick up our order the man behind the counter informed my friend that a delivery driver had accidentally taken her order because he placed it next to an order with the same name. He refused to refund or remake her meal for his mistake. He told us that we would have to place and pay for another order if we wanted the food. She didn’t feel like arguing however I did not accept this and went back in to see if there was something I could do. When I walked back in he said “So we’re gonna talk about it?” in an incredibly dismissive tone. He told me that all WE could do was contact the delivery service and request our money back. He was rude, unprofessional, and unhelpful about finding a solution to an issue he created.
My husband looooves bbq so when I found this place I knew we had to try it. It was pretty expensive for the quality of food. My pulled pork was soupy, I could barely finish it. They raved about the cornbread and it was just OK. My husband thought he was getting one meal and got something totally different. When he asked the waitress she kind of blew him off. His meal was alright. We had 5 kids (6-17) and it kind of felt like the waitresses were burdened by that. We aren't from Pittsburgh but if we came to town again, we wouldn't go back.
thought portions were a small for the price. 12.00 for pulled pork and 4.00 for a side of baked beans. small lil side road place in heart of the south side. we are from monroeville area im not in a big rush to go back, parking is in a lot down the street but if ur from the neighborhood I guess maybe a lunch spot as opposed to a dinner
I tried this place once because we LOVED the 17th Street Cafe. I was extremely disappointed. I really wish they would've left the BBQ to the truck & kept the 17th St. Cafe. The cornbread was dry, ribs were nothing special, mac and cheese tasted like canned cheese soup & noodles.
One of the greatest hidden gems in Pittsburgh. The entire place has a very chill vibe and the staff are all very welcoming. On top of that some of the most amazing BBQ!! really loved the reaper sauce and the smoked wings. And it was all very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend as one of the best restaurants on the south side!
AMAZING! The best BBQ I've had in Pittsburgh! I had lunch catered for my office, we had: pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket with rolls, mac and cheese, coleslaw and cornbread. The corn bread is amazing! Everything was so delicious, everyone loved it and was very satisfied! Also, the service from Patrick was exceptional! We will defiantly be ordering again!
