Sunny Egg & Crispy Tempura Shrimp. The Brunch menu was varied & interesting. Once I settled on the tempura shrimp, I noted the excellent service & flavored lemonades. Overall the meal was tasty. 4 long shrimp on sushi rice, with fresh mixed salad greens, dippy egg & pickled veg. The garlic aioli was flavorful, but too fatty for the tempura batter which was a little heavy & slightly greasy and made this dish over-the-top rich. The portion was hefty & generous. Definitely full afterward.
Only order here if you have time to wait and check everything ordered before the waitstaff leave. The entrees ordered came out one by one over a period of an hour (even though they were ordered all at once) and many extras that were paid for were missing. The poke bowl and fries were great, however all the stir fry dishes were exceedingly oily, bland, and undercooked. Extremely over priced for the quality, so I strongly suggest trying out one of the other restaurants nearby.
I actually don’t understand how this place doesn’t have higher reviews. The food came out piping hot and was absolutely delicious. The egg rolls were tasty and served with a creamy (mayo?) dip. I got the pork belly rice bowl, at the top level of spice, and it was cooked with chilis and sichuan peppercorn. So good.
Went here on Saturday, we got the special (Honey Sriracha Chicken bowl). The special description had a bunch of different ingredients that were supposed to go into the bowl, but what came out amounted to chicken nuggets served over rice with a couple pieces of romaine lettuce. The chicken lacked flavor of any sort, and for $16 a plate, it left a lot to be desired.
Had an amazing meal at SOMI! Their Korean fries are a great shareable app. Ginger chicken is my meal and it's the best rice dish I had in a while. Not sure why people are complaining about the price. Their price is comparable to every other fast casual place. I'm working in the industry so I totally understand how much food cost and labor cost have gone up since the pandemic. Proud to support a local business!
Went to Bakery Square Galley for happy hours but got hooked on the food from Somi. Their bulgogi egg rolls and kale chips are addicting. I'm impressed! Will come back to try the rest of their menu.
Had lunch with my friends here the other day. Food came out fairly quickly even-though they had a long line. I ordered the pumpkin curry noodle soup with chicken and it was amazing. Very creamy and balance. I had a bite of my friend's bibimbap and it was also tasty. You can taste that fermented Korean pepper in it which I love.Pro tip: Order online so you don't have to wait in line.
Seriously overpriced food. Sloppy service. Stay away. For a take-out lunch ordered tempura shrimp with rice and an iced tea. $28 was the total, with tip, and a "credit card fee" - something they charge but don't tell you about.Stood and waited for 15 minutes while four people in line behind me got their food, with one of them getting exactly the same thing I ordered . Finally asked to check on the order. Total confusion. Finally found the order except it was in a ceramic bowl for eating in. Canceled the order. Wasted 20 minutes of my lunch hour.Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.LATE ADDITION. They are even more incompetent than originally appeared. They cannot even issue a credit to the card for the canceled order without messing it up. Received my credit card bill a week or so after my visit - the charge is still on it. Looked closely at the credit slip they gave me - they credited someone else's Master Card (I paid with a Visa). Had to call the CC company and dispute the charge.
It's so incredibly overpriced. The serving size is also 2x smaller than all the other restaurants, too.
My lunch today was amazing! Fresh, fast, and fantastic! You must try the broccolini and order a sparkling strawberry coconut drink…I promise you will not be disappointed.
