Nice place, the bartender JJ was very nice. All the staff was welcoming and friendly. It was a very welcoming bar with a good laid back atmosphere. Our food was good and large portions. We ordered the penne with meatballs and garlic bread that was on special for $12. We got very full and had plenty left over to take home! Everything tasted good. The waitress was nice and made sure we always had everything we needed.
This is a neighborhood yinzer bar, and I mean that in the nicest possible way. Racially and culturally diverse clientele, and all of the staff is friendly and efficient, the food is quite good! I had a Delmonico steak and really enjoyed it, and of course beer! But expect your fair share of Pittsburgh accent when you come visit :-)
Local legend. Dank bar. Blues rock radio. Games on TV. Good wings and nachos. Beer. Excels in these things.
Had an Hour to burn while waiting for my mother in law’s doctors appointment so I wanted a cup of coffee and Silkps pub was across the street. I ordered a coffee with Bailey Irish cream. It was very good. It was snowing and cold so I ordered the French Onion soup. It was delicious. The people at the table next to me were 4 guys celebrating one of the mans birthday! They all got fish and chips with a beer. It looked very tasty. Great place to have lunch they had a Candy dish at the door for you to take a bite size sweet!
All the food is yummy, but they have the best Rueben in pgh. Super cozy pub setting too and staff is always so nice:)
Great food and service as always! It's my favorite spot to eat when we visit the city. My husband and I met friends to introduce them to our baby girl.
Atmosphere was nice along with good music and good customer service. Our food was okay but won't order the nachos again. The burgers seem to be the best.
Added 2 rolls to their fish and chips daily special and got up charged 8 dollars. Wait staff was poor on a slow night. Cool bar w good music. Would not eat there again though.
We visit Pittsburgh every year for a week. We discovered Silky's during Bloomfield's annual Halloween festival years ago and we knew we had a new home away from home. We start and end our visits here with a couple of stops in between. Stiff drinks, a varied menu with terrific food and fabulous specials and a friendly, hard working staff. What's not to like? What can I recommend to eat? If it's on the menu, get it. You can't go wrong.
Had the Reuben sandwich, was very tender and delicious. Great service as well. Would definitely go back and try the specials all of them sounded top notch.
