my boyfriend and I have tried coming to the rooftop bar or even the restaurant for 4 months and every time there is a reason why we can't. this past weekend there was a party upstairs but when we called they didn't say anything about a party. so we paid for parking AGAIN and didn't get to go. we give up on trying! I'm very sad cause he's been telling me about this place for a year. please keep your employees informed of when you are open as to not waste anyone else's time!
We celebrated my Mother's 71st Birthday here yesterday and had a perfect experience! We started with apps and drinks on the rooftop bar. Absolutely loved it! We then had Dinner at Mezzo. The food was phenomenal! What made this an even better experience was our server Rain and his assistant who was training. They were incredibly attentive, told us about dinner specials and made menu suggestions. They were extremely accomadating to dietary requests and at the end brought my mom a Birthday mimosa! THANK YOU!
I wish I had a picture of the salad and pizza, but we dug in so fast!
I don't even know where to begin with this one. My husband and I went to their Valentine's event over the weekend and it was the worst dining experience we have ever had. Our seating was for the 8pm-10pm; we didnt get seated until almost 8:45pm, as did everyone else. About 20 of us waited in the doorway the whole time until they were ready for us. The email clearly stated the 6pm-8pm seatings were to make their way to finish and or the other bars at 7:30. We were not even allowed to go to the second floor to the bar. Does it even exist? After we finally got seated, our waitress was quick with drinks and the menu. Luckily all we had to do was circle our courses. Once the wine started coming out for the pairings, my husband asked for a cocktail and they said only 6 beers were available. The wine pairings did not come out on time with the courses they were supposed to. They usually came after we were done eating. Almost every other table got bread, we did not. A table next to us, they kept screwing up the other of their courses and bringing out the wrong ones. Another table behind us sat there for 45 minutes with just water. Overall, the food was not worth the prepaid price. My scallops and risotto were good, but the ceasar salad was bland and so were the desserts. My husband got the lobster ravioli for his appetizer and only got 3 raviolis. We both got the scallops and there were 4, which were slightly bigger than a quarter. The icing on the tasteless cake, our waitress had the nerve to write down the amount we already paid for plus it was $15 for one beer. Obviously we knew we had to tip according to the total bill. I have never had that done before. Very unprofessional. We have been here for other holidays, but we will not return. This was poorly planned, very unorganized, and staffing was not the issue, so don't try and use that as an excuse!
Great idea offering meatball sliders (just 1 ball in each) so you can customize each sandwich individually and try different delicious options!
Celebrated a very special 21st Birthday at Mezzo with a group of 10. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious, and the staff was beyond friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back!! I personally can’t stop thinking about the Arugula Salad, to die for!! Thank You for making our evening so special.
fantastic food! we were so full but couldn’t stop eating. the bartender bill was amazing! always smiling, super friendly & made sure we had everything we needed. thank you so much for the excellent service bill! ?
Delicious! Something different but not too crazy! Great food and a fantastic waitress!
Visited here tonight for dinner with eight of my cohort classmates after completing our finals and celebrating our first semester down in graduate school. The food and seasonal drinks were excellent! Nice atmosphere and music as pleasant. I rated a 2 because the waitress Brooke was very discriminatory and prejudiced. The first instance happened when she was taking drink orders; she started taking orders on the other side of the table. When she got to me, she suddenly exclaimed, "Can I just see some ID now from everyone." This instantly caught the attention of everyone at the table because she had just taken four of my cohort member's drink orders without inquiring about identification. The second instance was when she was coming back with the receipts. Making her way around the table, she got to my side and only had two pens left and three of us to give checks back. Once she realized that she did not have enough pens, she literally skipped me and went back and gave it to my white cohort member to my right. From my experiences here in Pittsburgh since coming for grad school, I'd expected and experienced such behavior, but this was the first time it was so blatant and obvious. Hopefully, they can create an inclusive and equitable experience for all patrons in the future.
This is a great place for happy hour. I had a four dollar stout draft and it was excellent. I got the fried pickle chips and the proportions were quite large. I normally get the pickle chips here and I like them because they are thin and crispy. This time I think I got even more than what I normally get. Gmr
