very friendly waiter Good food except 1/ overcooked and 2/ too salty

This is our favorite restaurant. Kristen is great. She is very knowledgeable and her recommendations are always excellent. The food and drinks are always outstanding. And I really appreciate their vision which emphasizes collaboration and optimism; it is very refreshing! Well done all, we cannot wait for our next visit.

We loved the appetizer (pate with baguette) and the white (Pecorino) wine recommended by our server, who was excellent. We were less impressed with our entrees. My wife loves sweetbreads and you don't see them often on a Pittsburgh menu; she did not love the preparation, with the meat in pieces mixed with mushrooms (and perhaps more stuff). I had the onion tart, a nightly special; it struck me as a sort of soggy quiche. The menu is pretty short and lacks any small plates like burgers and sandwiches, so unless you're fairly omnivorous, like my wife, dining will be a crap shoot The ambience is appealing. We were able to park on the street around the corner. If the place had a "safety net" like a burger, I would definitely return.

This is our favorite restaurant. The Staff is wonderful, the food is adventurous and amazing, and the drinks are divine! We always feel wonderful after a meal at Siempre

One of the best restaurants in Pittsburgh. Brilliant, creative dishes. Wonderful wait staff. Always look forward to our next visit.

Relaxed atmosphere so you can really enjoy the experience. The food, drinks, and service are outstanding.

Absolutely excellent in every category. Service is impeccable, the atmosphere is accessible, and the food is incredible. A great place for date night or a small group of friends. Highly recommended.

The server was great and it was so curated. You could tell there was thought into every plate and you can see the chef makes every plate.

Food is delicious. The chef is really creative. We had some dietary needs and they were very accommodating. Service is great.

the pretzels: honestly tasted really dry/stale and old. Not enough mustard for the amount of pretzel -the beet salad: was recommended by the waiter and LOOKED beautiful! Alas, although the orange beets were lovely, the red ones were a bit Al-dente, the chips were burnt and had a horrible bitter flavor, and the sun chokes had no salt and were also "charred" which made them bitter too. The dressing was good, but as someone who loves sunchokes I was sad that they didn't get a chance to shine here. I also just think this dish was pretty bad--I'm talking barely edible unfortunately. -the baguette: my dad's favorite, really good bread. Worth 4$? I say ‍ my dad says yes. Entrees: -my dad got the beef cheek and we all agreed it was a show stopper! Very tender and nice. He raved about it and loved it -my mom got he veggies and chickpeas. She liked it a lot and enjoyed that it wasn't like a token vegetarian dish. It tasted balanced and like a lot of care went into it -I got the Arctic char. It was good, but I always order salmon/fish so maybe I'm just hard to impress. The skin was nice and crispy but I felt like the dish was missing something, maybe more acid? It was just a little flat for me Dessert: Here's where things declined. -my dad really liked his vanilla ice cream which bourbon and sea salt -my mom thought the passion fruit tart filling and the fruit on top was good, but she didn't care for the shell -I got the chocolate tart which was supposed to have chocolate pastry cream. It was completely liquid and not set at all. Like water. I sent it back and the chef apologized and said it shouldn't even have gone out. Either the chef is not looking at everything that comes out of the kitchen/not paying attention, or he thought I'd be too dumb to know what unset pastry cream looks like and I'd just blindly eat my chocolate soup. Why did it go out? SOMEBODY didn't care that it was un-serveable and just decided that it didn't matter.
