Excellent -- what you want a restaurant to be. The menu showcases local and seasonal ingredients - with Vegan options that are as thoughtful as they are flavorful. Cocktails are creative and fresh. The space is cozy, the bar is beautiful. Service folks are knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. I really couldn't recommend this spot enough - please visit and support an incredibly hard working local institution. 100 Chef's Kisses.

Wow, what a meal we had! Everything was wonderful from the unique atmosphere, to the wonderful staff and the delicious food and drinks. We started with the olive and snack plate, and was we devoured that, we had the smash burger and the ravioli. Both were 10/10 dishes. We ended with rose and lemon ricotta cake. Cannot wait to go back!!! New fav spot!

Very fresh ingredients. The fried chicken was very moist and cooked perfectly. However, it was bland and tasted like it wasn't seasoned. Most of the vegetarian starters weren't the best but the soup was good. Everything tastes very home cooked

Excellent food, lovely cocktails and a very friendly staff. Will definitely come again.

Food was ok. Presentation was good but the service was very slow. Definitely priced too high

Our evening at Scratch was wonderful! The food was great. The service was impeccable. And the atmosphere was welcoming (the music was especially good on this visit-lots of Motown!) This place is one of the best in town! And David is THE best server in the city!

I have mixed feelings about this place. Let me first start by saying the service was great and they made things right. Cocktails are pretty good as well, although pricey. That aside, I feel this establishment either needs to A) Knock down their prices for food and drinks about 30% or B) up the portion size and food quality. I frequent butterjoint, Sullivans, Butcher & the Rye, Tambellinis, etc., which are all about the same price range and provide much more satisfaction. Several things missed the target at our table, and while I feel they were adequately remedied by our server, the issues take root in the kitchen and are not the servers responsibility. A 6 oz filet is not equivalent to two 2 oz pieces. All the potatoes at our table were cold, and proteins over cooked. There’s potential here, but something has to change to reach its full potential.

Scratch continues to be a go to for comfort food. Eclectic interior isn't super cozy and worked better pre-COVID. Felt safe and able to distance from other diners. Service was excellent this time.

Some of the best food and service you can find in Pittsburgh!
