No doubt about it, a good seafood place, with some steaks if you need ‘em. Had wild caught Alaska salmon, the Brussels sprouts, the angel food cake dessert, she-crab soup, the house salad (w/ fruit), the crab cake and blackened shrimp. Great service, great views, great ambiance. Food what you would expect for the money, but not any better than that. Brussels came in in huge chunks, should have been sliced more, my only real compliant.
I made last-minute reservations here and mentioned it was our one-year wedding anniversary. From the moment we got off the elevator, the staff was super nice, wished us congratulations, and thanked us for celebrating with them. They gave us the most beautiful corner table with a view of the river and we watched the sunset. I believe our server was Rachel and she was awesome. Super nice, gave lots of recommendations, and overall was super easy to chat with. we both really enjoyed our meals and the dessert was fantastic (espresso Creme Brule). 10/10 in all ways and such a special experience for our anniversary.
Thomas was rude and unaccmadating. He would not separate the bar bills nor would he let someone pay the whole bill. Confusing I know but I guess that's how this entire place rolls. Very disappointed in the service and how Thimas handles the situation. Could have been easily handled differently but he refused.
I use to love this place but our last visit was a disaster. Three of four plates were terrible and both deserts were bad. My branzino was smelly and soggy the other fish were very over cooked. Too bad, used to be a nice destination.
Excellent dining experience high stop Mt. Washington with a wonderful view of the city. Great location with unrivaled views of the three convening rivers and downtown. Our business group had a spacious private dining room where we started off with fruit, veggie, cheese, and cracker trays while enjoying cocktails. I enjoyed the filet mignon, a nice salad, bread, and potatoes. After dinner we enjoyed an assortment of delicious finger-sized desserts. Our two servers, one named MK, took very good care of us. All the while, not only did we enjoy great food and drink but wonderful conversation, service, and evening storm views of the city. A very special place. Although ima carnivore and this establishment caters predominantly to seafood lovers, there are non-seafood options, and I highly recommend and would return.
We experienced a lovely evening. Then we went straight back to the hotel to rest. The next day I woke up and realized I had left my bag (only my passport was in the bag) at the restaurant. I contacted the restaurant and couldn't find it the first time, but the restaurant manager said he would continue to help me find it. I believe that a miracle will happen in such a nice restaurant
The celebration of my son's birthday could not be described anything less than sheer perfection. The view is only surpassed by the dining experience! From entering and greeting from Anthony, to our talented and knowledgeable bartender Alex and then our fabulous server Cheyenne. It made our evening extra special. She was so helpful in our selections and knew everything about each item on the menu. We enjoyed a pinot grigio from an extensive wine list. I selected as my entree the Big Eye Tuna and my son had the Branzino. They were done to picture perfect perfection. The shareables of brussels sprouts and truffle mashed potatoes were indescribably delicious. We started off with the delish crab soup. And the birthday dessert brough out with our coffee and after dinner drinks was incredible and only left one polite bite. Thank you Monterey Bay Fish Grotto! Can't wait to see you all again.
Monterey Bay has been our go-to choice for special occasions and visiting guests. The views are spectacular, the food fine, and the service attentive. But what truly distinguished this restaurant was an occasion when I had a problem with my entree. When my husband brought it to the manager’s attention, he couldn’t have been more concerned . The manager takes so much pride in the quality of his food and the restaurant in general that he bent over backwards to make amends - far more than we expected or thought was required. So, in addition to the general high quality of Monterey Bay, we find that it is a business run with an exquisite concern for the best possible dining experience of its patrons. Extraordinary and impressive.
Georgiou's restaurant. Fantastic view, Excellent service and delicious food. Crab bisque, crab cakes, My sword fish all of it was well prepared and made the trip worth it. Will return to try more items from their menu.
Super tremendous experience in every way!!! Food was just incredible. So was the view. We booked early (5pm) to increase the likelihood of getting a window seat -- and we did! We arrived 10 minutes prior to 5 and got the last one. I will say though that the view seemed quite good from almost everywhere. They have an elevated area that isn't super near the window, but seems to have a great view anyway. I can't say enough about the food. Every part was outstanding. Appetizer, chowder, bisque, entrée, dessert. Waiter was great. My wife and I celebrated our 26th anniversary here and thought it was one of our best dining experiences every. Look at the menu prices before you go so you don't get sticker shock. It's not cheap. Don't come here if that's what you are expecting.
