Great food, amazing flavor for all veggie and grain bowls. So nice to have healthy food done well. Generous portions too. FYI, there is no indoor dining though, it was take out only when we were there, and street parking is hard to find.
Super delicious spot with great options for a healthy lunch. Love their outdoor seating. Staff was friendly and made sure I got the exact bowl I wanted. So yummy!
I got the Balboa last night and the rice were really hard as if they weren't cooked properly. I tried putting them in the microwave and managed to soften the rice however most of the ingredients- like the avocado and the pita lost their original taste after reheating. I am very disappointed since I am a regular roots customer and eat here up to four times a week.
Great food with healthy concept. The lady cashier was the nicest person I’ve ever met. If you are fee up with American cousine, this will be a cool option for you. Lots of veggie options, you can change ingridients. Reasonable prices
Tasty, healthy grain and salad bowls with large portions. I usually have some leftovers and eat them for breakfast the next day. The chicken can be a bit dry but the value here is great.
My daughter’s favorite place to go when she was living in Pittsburgh for college. This place has a lot of varieties of heathy food choices. I couldn’t figure out what I want from the menu, so I just chose the Create Your Own bowl. I tried the roots rice as the base which is seasoned purple rice. This rice tasted very good. I combined roots rice and Arcadian mix (mixed greens) as the base. I chose BBQ tofu for the protein. I added sweet potatoes, beets, charred corn, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, avocado (extra charge), and cilantro lime as my dressing. This dressing is low acidity. It has a hint of honey. This is the best dressing I’ve ever had.I’m glad I followed my daughter’s suggestion. I definitely will go back here when I’m around this area. I wish they have a restaurant in MD.

Really delicious Balboa bowl. Even with the sauce on side and lot more vegetable addition, the base tasted pretty good. Filling quantity and a calorie chart is available online if anyone wants to refer. Though I wish the basic bowl had a lot fewer than 950 kcal, since the place is supposed to be a healthy salad bowl option.
Yummy salad lots of vegan options and nice staff would come again - the tofu was a bit chewy though but it was fine!
I love this place they never mess up orders but I went there again and they obviously had new people there which I get but they messed up my order really bad and I threw up honestly it was horrible they’re not known to mess up orders I don’t think but this salad was horrible and it’s something I always get so maybe just train your employees a little bit better. Other than that love this place
