Great local coffee shop option in Oakland. Really amazing coffee, worth spending a bit extra not only for an amazing cup of coffee but to support a local business. Baristas are really friendly and fun people. Grab a coffee for now and a bag of beans to brew at home.
Opens early, and have a standard for their coffees. Tried both takeout and dine-in, and obviously dining in was always better with the cafe vibes and a slower pace to the day. But many do takeaways along the way to work for that pick-me-up!
Best tasting coffee I've had in Pittsburgh and most likely all time! Service was excellent. Hoping I work in Oakland more just to stop in again.
Best coffeeshop. Smallest, but best. Been coming here for years, almost every day, to fill my cup. Excellent spro, too. And really, just the best people slinging.
Great coffee roasted right here in PGH
Excellent coffee and professional staff with an extensive knowledge and selection. Perfectly curated interiors make you want to linger in the shop all day and neglect whatever mundane responsibilities you are being tortured with that day :)
Absolutely phenomenal coffee, the space was recently renovated and looks amazing. I'm a student nearby and come by often. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because early in the morning they blast hard rock and metal music really loudly, so it's not the best cafe environment. But the coffee is great definitely go there!
This place was ok in my opinion. I got a coffee and a cookie. My coffee was alright but I wish they had cream and sugar on the counter for you to add yourself. And the cookie didn't seem that fresh and it was kind of hard. The barista didn't really talk that much to us or engage in the conversation that my fiance tried to have with her. My fiance has a coffee podcast called Mucking it up With the Matthews and he tried talking to her about it but she kind of just brushed him off. Also it was small inside and it felt crammed in there.
Coffee was amazing, but what blew me away was the excellent service! Baristas super friendly and talkative. The coffee needs to be good for my boyfriend and I, but the service needs to be better. And WOW. These people at RedHawk rocked ?Our order: cortado, iced mocha w/an alternative milk, and a ham cheese croissant ?Cool atmosphere inside too ✌️peep below!
Go to Redhawk Coffee if you're in the U of Pitt or Carnegie Mellon area. You won't be disappointed! There are 4 Starbucks and 1 Duncan donuts with in 1.5 miles of this local Coffee shop! Go here ( small little store front) for great Coffee( very good) , some very solid baked goods, ( tried a scone and a salted Carmel brownie - yummmmyyy!) and received very quick and polite service! Will go again. Located between Forbes and Fifth Ave on Meyran Ave. Cool sweatshirts and gear sold inside. Stay local, have fun!
