Food and service were excellent. Restaurant was a little warm. Prices are a bit high, but overall comparable to elsewhere.
My husband and I had dinner at Pizzaiolo Primo for our 1 year wedding anniversary. We wanted a semi casual vibe with great pasta. We had reservations for 7 and were seated on time. Our server was prompt and very kind. We ordered the mozzarella fritta for an appetizer which was fantastic. My husband ordered the chicken parm and I had the penne vodka (I asked to sub the penne for rigatoni which they happily agreed to do!) both were very very good! My husband had the sparking moscato which was to die for. I had an aperol spritz and it was ok. My only complaint is that the downstairs seating area is very cramped. We were seated in very close proximity to both parties next to us which was a bit uncomfortable. However I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others!
Outstanding meal and service. We all ordered different meals and shared because each one was different and delicious. I would enthusiastically recommend this restaurant and return for another meal while in Pittsburgh
Excellent food! Everything on the menu is outstanding!
Great service. Personable staff. I got the eggplant which was
This was a dinner for my dads 80th birthday. None of us had ever eaten here before but he wanted Italian. My brother in law recommended your place and we were not disappointed. The food was all excellent. The waitress (forget her name) was fabulous and attentive. Everything about the dinner was perfect. Thank you!
Food was great but we asked for extra vinaigrette and never got it as well as chicken in our pasta which was not on it. Took forever to get the Diet Coke that we ordered as well.
Good Arancini
Dinner was wonderful. We were outside and it can become a little uncomfortable. Lots of outside noise from upset locals, who got in a fight. Bikers, who parked nearby, and a less than talented street musician. If that's any indication of the norm, I'd eat inside!
Waiter was average at best. Upstairs seating in the corner was a bad place to experience a city / market square setting. Food was good not good enough to be ranked best in Pittsburgh though. I would eat there again and hope for better seating and a better waiter.
