I wandered into this little place one Sunday afternoon and found a place that makes a gem of a pizza. I knew as I walked in and was greeted by the friendly lady at the register not to mention the aroma, I knew was in the right spot! The crust was thin but yet fluffy and had a characteristic flavor and texture, which in my opinion makes the pie what it is! The pizza was topped with just the right amount of fresh sauce, mozzarella and basil with a drizzle of olive oil. YUM YUM YUM! My husband ordered his own pie with the meatball and mushrooms which he raved about and was equally YUM YUM YUM! My mouth is watering right now for a pizza. If you want a pizza the way a pizza should taste give this place a try and I'm sure you will definitely be back!!!!!
Pizza is next level amazing????
Grandma pie, while it was good, I felt something was lacking and I believe it was the dough flavor. Overall I didn't get the feeling that I have to rush back for more. Meatball hoagie... the meatballs alone were delicious. I recommend asking for a side of sauce as their sauce is tasty. I will need to try more items then revisit my review. I am definitely curious about the traditional pie. Overall 3.5 or 7/10.
This is the best pizza in Pittsburgh. They use the highest quality ingredients and they have the highest standards. They are possibly the only pizza shop in town that actually takes pride in proofing their dough correctly and the results are some of the tastiest and most consistent pizzas in the area. My only complaint is that the prices are a bit on the high side and they switched their large pie from an 18inch to a 16inch (for $18 ?) and now the large pie isn’t really big enough to feed more than 2 people. I would have much preferred they just raise the price and keep the pie at 18 inches but I guess this is what they need to do. When the pie was 18 inches I was ordering weekly but now I will only order if they have grandma pies in stock. All around a really really fantastic pizza..
CAUTION: Do Not recommend their thin flat round pizza. Insanely hard crust on the bottom cut open the inside of our mouths. It was beyond eating a hard taco shell level of hard.Flavor of the dough was decent & sauce was spiced well but 90% inedible because of hardest crust Ive ever seen served by a pizza place. Eventually cut away what I could with a knife at home to salvage some bites, but from the two slices I ate whole my mouth hurt for the entire next day.Definitely not my style.
This is the best pizza in Pittsburgh and it’s not even close. I saw someone left a review saying the crust was too hard or cut their mouth or something—that is nonsense. It is spectacular pizza.
Pizza Lupo checks all the boxes when it comes to making a great pizza. I have been a loyal customer since the grand opening. My favorites are the Grandma pie and the Margherita pizzas. When you eat a pizza from Pizza Lupo you know the finest ingredients go into the finished product. The homemade dough is delicious, along with the sauce, fresh mozzarella and herbs, everything just blends together for the best pizza in the Pittsburgh area. Pizza Lupo is my favorite pizza hands down.
Hands down best pizza in the Burgh! The vodka pizza is my go to favorite and unlike any other. The flavorful sauce along with the delicious dough make me coming back for more, along with the incredible customer service and friendly staff.Pizza Lupo is a must try!
Outstanding pizza! Our new favorite specialty pie is the Wild Sow and we always get an order of the Lupo meatballs. No other pizza spot like it
I stopped in on 1/20/22 for a mobile order for my dads first solid meal and this pizza is INCREDIBLE . Thanks so much we are looking forward to trying some more!
