I have been a fan of pghsandwich society since they were located in lawrenceville. Since moving to strange roots, the burgers and sandwich quality remains fantastic, but the fries have become not the greatest. They are very thin and salty (MY FAVORITE), but since the move, it's obvious that the fries are almost always old and cold by the time they get to you. It seems like they drop the fries at the same time as the sandwichs, so the fries end up sitting out and getting cold and hard and pretty gross by the time the sandwich is done.We have been wanting to put in two separate orders for the fries and burgers because it's so bad. Instead we just haven't been back to my favorite burger store and have been heading to burghers in Lawrenceville instead.Pghsandwichsociety! Yall need some quality control on your fries, I miss your burgers, but I'm overruled by how bad the fries are
It was a solid burger, pickles are really good! You order it online and they text/email you when it ready. So be prepared to use goggle pay/cashapp.Strange roots is a great location and a really good selection of beers.
Their Pittsburgh Hot Chicken sandwich was the absolute best we've ever had. We love Hot Chicken and it was incredible! Highly recommend
Absolutely amazing. Definitely worth a stop. Wide variety of sandwiches, and they all taste incredible. Our favorite was the “In-N-Aht” Burger?. Check out our full review on YouTube: @TheGrubGuys. Follow us on IG: @realgrubguys.
One of my favorites. Unfortunately they always run out of all their sandwiches by 7/7:30 even though they say they’re open until 9pm. It’s a nice bike ride from the Slopes but you have to get them early. But whatever it’s one of the best sandwiches in Pittsburgh
Great hamburger and killer Mac and cheese.
Excellent burgers and they make them quickly. Recommended.
Easily some of the best sandwiches and burgers in Pittsburgh. Its always delicious
Good food but it was cold, almost felt like it had been made a good bit earlier than when we ordered :/
The burger was a bit overhyped. It was a generic hamburger no better than five guys.
