I lived in the Gulf for several years and also had a chance to visit Lebanon. Shawarmas are a favorite of mine. I saw the shop on Butler and have wanted to visit for a long time. I went today, Sunday, May 15, 2022 with a friend for lunch. The welcome upon arrival was non existent. There were two guys working there who need to step up their game of welcoming customers. The shawarma was ok. Not great. The size was huge. It needed sauce but didn’t know it was a special request to get it. Only figured that out after I started eating. The drink option was water or coke. If there was another option no suggestion was offered. They asked if my meal was eat in or take out. I asked to eat in and took a sidewalk seat. I was brought a brown bag with two sandwiches wrapped to go and the beverages followed a big later.Food was ok. Service was wanting.I don’t have any eager reason to return.
Pita My Shwarma is a great place to stop and have a quick lunch! The food has a lot of flavor and the pickles tie the dishes together well. There isn't a lot of seating inside, so it might be a better bet to order food to-go, or when the weather is nice, there are a few tables outside.
The falafel were fine but the entire wrap was lukewarm and needed more sauce. Altogether the flavors were average. I wanted to like this place but I don't think it is worth the price.
I had the chicken shawarma and fries, everything was fresh and the fries nice and hot. Fries seasoned well, the garlic sauce is pretty good too. Thank you for lunch
If you've ever had Shawarma you will be disappointed. If you haven't, it will be alright. For how much food you get, wildly overpriced. 36 dollars, two people, and not nearly enough.
If you are looking for Mediterranean food then this is the place to be. I had the best chicken Shawarma sandwich and hummus outside of Dearborn Michigan! Yummy in the tummy! The spices will dance on your tongue and having you asking for more!! I give it 5
I would skip the bowls entirely, it was not good at all. The Shawarma is just OK. It's a little on the dry side, and the chicken would have benefited from being seasoned a bit better. The taller gentleman that works here is friendly enough but I can't say the same of the gentleman with glasses.
We loved Pita My Shawarma as a food truck and completely enjoyed their brick and mortar spot this trip. Owner was amazingly sweet and food delicious.
Food was great, hygiene was not. I saw a gentleman unloading boxes then went directly to making shawarma without washing hands, touching food directly. In this day and age or any,, please wash hands and use gloves. People are watching even if you think they are not.
We ordered a chicken shawarma wrap, a falafel wrap and salad with chicken. All tasted excellent. They have a quiet little patio adjacent to the restaurant for a quick lunch. But I would say the prices are steep.I lived in Brooklyn and there is a place called Fatoosh which is very popular and similar to this restaurant. Fatoosh's prices are $2-4 for the same foods (falafel wrap was $8 instead of $10) with the same quality of freshness with pitas made in a brick oven as you order it and fresh meats and vegetables and plenty of very health salads for sides. So, I would return much more often if the prices were more reasonable. This would probably work out better in the long run for both the customer and the owner.
