The bread is unspeakably great I love a Pittsburgher and one of the employees has the most amazing eyes and smile ?for the ladies

The #7 is a must try. One of the best sandwiches I have tried so far.....

No trip to Pittsburgh is complete without a stop here. Simply, the best food in the area. Must stop. Too many things to try... But the cheese steak and the #7 are go to's.Clean. Staff is awesome.BRING CASH. No cards.....

Was in town for an appointment and decided to give this place a shot. The minute we walked in the door we were greated by friendly, inviting and helpful staff. Answered questions about the menu and provided suggestions. We got a steak and cheese, Italian and fries. It was all delicious, portions plentiful, fairly priced and staff continued to check on us throughout the visit without being overbearing. Establishment was very clean. If your in the area, stop at Peppis.....you won't be sorry. Great visit from start to finish. We will definitely be back.

Very nice friendly respectful people, delicious steak & cheese hoagies? & they’re cheese fries are?. I enjoyed every last bite of my food, & I can’t wait to go back to try something new. Also they cook inside of one of the first diners ever made from the 1940’s, which I thought was kind of dope???

I've been eating at Peppi's for a long time. I usually sit at the both with one bench looking out the window. I've taken many people to Peppi's that have never been there before and they always have a great time. The other day I went with my friend Dave, he gravitated right to the Mushroom Swiss. He'd never seen vinegar malt as a condiment before. So we went crazy with the vinegar malt on those fries. We could not get enough on there. I'm usually a ketchup guy/I eat a lot of fries. Visiting an old favorite with a new person can teach you something new... like USE THAT MALT VINIGER. Also, I spent time looking at the pictures on the wall, it turns out their sandwich called the BIG WHEELER is named after a blues harmonica player. Also - I almost always get the BUTCHER sandwich. Every time you order they ask you if you want everything on it... and then they ask another time. Like, "Are you sure?" Yea! Yea I'm sure! Everything. I asked what else I should try and they recommended the FLAMING CHICKEN. It was okay. I'm sticking with the BUTCHER and I'm using a ton of MALT VINIGER on the fries.

Staff was super nice. Food was ok. Nothing great. Not much meat on the subs. Mostly bread.

A little piece of Pittsburgh history. Very good food and friendly staff.

Best Italian hoagie I’ve had in a long time. I’m a plain Jane so I only like cheese, Mayo and Italian dressing.. but it was so so good. And their fries were bomb! Also homemade ranch!!!

Peppis is probably the best Cheesesteak you can get in Pittsburgh.... and this location is #1 in my opinion. It can be a bit of a pain to find street parking here however during the week bc it’s a residential neighborhood that has a large Community College right down the street. They offer a wide variety of grilled subs and fantastic fresh cut fries. I’d recommended the “Ultra” Cheesesteak personally. The only caveat to coming here is that they are *Cash Only*..... however, they do have an ATM on site.A must visit for sure.
