Idk why the place doesn't get it right. I work next door and eat here constantly, and while the Staff is super friendly and helpful, be prepared to wait even if its not busy, even if u ordered in advance. And they'll often foeget something so make sure you got everything you ordered.I'll bet you panera needs to pay them better, and hire more people. Seems like there isnt incentive for people to stay long enough to work efficiently. I mean for overpriced airplane food and a company profiting every year, you think that'd trickle down no....?
Honestly terrible. I ordered a sliced and toasted bagel and a bottle of water when the restaurant was pretty slow, and sat and waited for 20 minutes watching people walk in and order, then get their food. I asked what the eta was, and was handed a whole bagel. I waited another 5 minutes or so by the register before someone helped me. When I got my bagel back it was barely warm, let alone toasted. Missed my bus now I'm stuck in Shadyside for the next hour. 0/10 would not recommend.
If the sizes were any smaller than they would be considered for a Kid's Meal. The Cups for the Soup isn't a Bowl as the menu states, and the Lettuce on the Sandwich was much bigger than the Bread the Sandwich was on. This place is absolutely pitiful.
If I could give this Panera Bread zero stars I would. I get the same order at every Panera bread and for some reason this one just didn't have ANYTHING on their hot menu. I ordered a whole sandwich cut in two, one half had 4 slices of meat folded and the other half had 2 slices, suffice it to say it was unappetizing and irritating sandwich. I ordered a large Mac n Cheese and I got undercooked pasta in a cheese soup. It was supposed to come with a baguette and instead it came with a hard as rock piece of bread. Like it was so stale you could make croutons with it and not even need the double bake. The workers were rude and loud yelling to one another talking trash about other people. Constantly touching their faces to move their masks down to talk then move them back with bare hands and then touching food with those same hands.The manager just stood there and didn't do QC on the product leaving the kitchen. One worker just walked around the middle of the restaurant talking on her phone, not with headphones either. This place is good for one thing only, the wifi. Kinda funny that the one thing not ran by a human is the only thing that works appropriately at this location.
Not so much of a review of the Panera itself, but more of a warning for anyone interested in applying. THIS PANERA DOES NOT PROVIDE BREAKS FOR EMPLOYEES. With multiple minors working there, it’s going directly against the Pennsylvania child labor laws. With repeated complaints going to the manager, they clearly have no intent on changing how they operate. Do not consider working here for any reason.
Great place to study, great management and staff. They are always so helpful. I go there probably every day, and start my day with their coffee and bagels. Adding more options for breakfast could be cool but even now, it is such a great place!! Thank you Panera Bread ^.^
Decent food and usually consistent. They are pretty fast at this location too. I love Panera's coffee and breakfast quiches (particularly spinach & bacon)
I haven t really eaten at many places lately. And this morning I decided I would give Panera a try. I've been here before and the experience was good. However, this morning I could not think of the name of the item I wanted and the person taking the call was not helpful. She went as far as to say she was the manager and If I wanted to speak to someone one else she would have to transfer me. It never happened. For her to be the manager and not understand what I was describing, that I know you sell or use too. Was distasteful (it was a Souffle) So now this will not be the Panera Bread I select to go too, or refer anyone else. Customer service is the price of admission. ( I didn't even rate this one star, couldn't remove it)
Great location!
Staff are super friendly and the food is always good. The last 3 times we have been here, we get notified our order is ready for pick up. We get to the pickup area and the order is not there. We end up waiting with a handful of other customers in the same boat. 5 to 10 minutes later, our food is brought over to the pickup area. Sometines the orders are wrong as well. Idk if they're trying to beat a special time they have to prepare each order but it is frustrating getting a notification that the order is ready and then having to wait 10 minutes for it to come out.
