This is not what I call a destination restaurant. But, the food was very good and the service was excellent! There's a parking garage close by and the restaurant validates--which is a great thing since there was so much street work going on in the area. There's a good selection of desserts, so save room!
Excellent as always!
Delicious food, attentive staff and they even validate parking for 2 hours if you're in the garage. Don't forget the dessert, it's homemade and so good!!
Bad hard gnocchi entree. Instead of pillowly soft potato gnocchi they changed the recipe to hard, unchewable tough gnocchi and this was the second time I visited that they used this hard gnocchi. It was more like covadil which has no potatoes as does gnocchi. The salad was good. My friend and I I were very disappointed again with this entree. The manager was very accommodating as was the waitress. I wonât order it again if I ever return.
I have never written a negative review, so Iâll try to keep things positive. We started out with the short rib vegetable soup and it was excellent. Great idea, great broth and very tasty. The main course was a mixed bag. I had the stuffed peppers and they were pretty good. Stuffed with sausage and spiced nicely with 3 warm (not hot) peppers. My mother ordered Cavatelli with shrimp, while the shrimp were good, the cavatelli were hard and not too flavorful. My wife ordered gnocchi, they were hard and tasteless. Gnocchi should be made with at least 80% potatoes. They should be lite and taste potato-ee good. These were the opposite of that. Way too much flour, too heavy and tasteless. To their credit the manager came to our table and made things right by letting Lynne order another main course (stuffed peppers as we knew they were good). Overall it was a mixed bag. The service and management were good and they care about their customers, the peppers were good, cavatelli and shrimp were ok and the gnocchi were not good. I wish it were different, but their food needs to step up to meet the quality of their management.
Good happy hours deals on wines and apps. Otherwise, food was not worth it. Both of our pasta dishes were not good â thick, undercooked gnocchi and shrimp that tasted like it was from a can. Service was slow and it took a long time to get our meals despite there only being a couple other tables at the restaurant.
Our Waiter Conner was excellent. He was very attentive and able to answer any questions we had. I gave the food only 4 stars because I think they forgot the capers on Chicken Piccata. All in all I would definitely good back.
The food was exceptional. The service was smooth and friendly and attentive. The chairs are too small for anyone who is not super fit. Even half full, the noise level made conversation a challenge. What to do? ð¤·ð¼ââï¸
Amazing food. Great service! We sat outside on the patio which was great.
Our server was amazing! The food was good but too a while to come out.
