We got room service from Ollie's. It was good.
We traveled to Pittsburgh to watch the Los Angeles Dodgers play at PNC park. The hotel was conveniently located, reasonably priced and helped make our trip an enjoyable experience. We will be staying again next season.
Returning to a Embassy Suites in full operation was a sign of normal travel returning. The rooms were spacious and the breakfast hot. It was tricky during a late arrival at night to find the entrance to the hotel. Overall I would stay again.
For a 4 Star hotel, this place was extremely disappointing. No where did I read before booking that the lobby/bar/breakfast area were all on the 25th floor. Poor layout. There is no bathroom on ground level. I’ve also never stayed at a Hilton Hotel that bills itself as full service, yet doesn’t clean the rooms daily or provide towels and clean linens. When I requested housekeeping I was told no one was on duty because of COVID. When four women stay in a room for three days, it should be cleaned and trash removed. I don’t pay to stay and have to bag up my own trash! The manager’s reception consisted of well drinks, a nasty sangria and domestic beer, all served in plastic cups. Light snacks were individual bags of chips. Hardly worth the effort. Curb appeal Horrible! Dead trees in all the planters. The small “Lobby” on the first floor was pitiful. Soiled furniture and very dirty floors and tables. The one small amenity I could give positive comments was the complementary breakfast. That and the spaciousness of the room were the only two positives. When I checked out, I realized they had charged my credit card twice. Once on check-in and once on departure. Had to call and try to rectify. Now waiting on them to remove the first charge completely.
The breakfast which embassy is known for was horrible. What they passed off for an omelette was barely eatable. The pancakes were cold and the breakfast sandwich was minuscule. So this was all the covid rules would allow? I think you took this opportunity to cut back on costs and I for one resent it. You should have done better Embassy!
I recommend this hotel they just need to make improvements to their bathrooms. I saw the maintenance man talking to valet the entire weekend. The desk staff was super helpful and really did try to make our stay amazing.
Valet parking was tough to get too. We Had to make an illegal U turn. Breakfast was terrible, re heated frozen food is never going to taste good. Pool room was so hot and humid I could barely breathe.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The hotel was walking distance to everything and the room was clean and comfortable and very reasonably priced. The staff was great as well. I will definitely stay at this property again.
We loved the 3 room suite and using the pool, we also loved the urban setting and view of the city! We spent our time in Pittsburg enjoying the zoo, the Carnegie museum of natural history and of course the hotel!
