Firstly I'll just say don't expect to have your socks blown off with customer service - this place clearly does most of their food business with takeout/delivery and I'm guessing they're used to mainly dealing with people in their own communities as the English is limited - I only mention this due to the other reviews complaining about service.Aside from the initial impression of walking in, the staff were perfectly polite, the prices are reasonable, the wait time was low and the food was AMAZING. Very, very pleased with the quality of the food.
Forgot order notes via uber eats and then didn't answer the phone. Makes me question credibility.
Don’t let the looks fool you…. This place is fire! Grab a drink and order the momos!
Worst food in Pittsburgh. I has been to other nepali restaurants in the town they are far more better than this. Uncooked and OIly food
Me and my friend went to this establishment, happy to be trying something new. When we walked in, we weren't greeted by anyone, instead some bully from the back came out and stared at us as if he was about to challenge us to a duel!. I didn't feel comfortable at all, but another guy came out with a very pleasant smile and offered us a place to sit and dine. Once we received our food, it was worse than the indirect rudeness we received at the door. The chicken we ordered was rock hard!! The flavor was cooked right out of it!! We also ordered curry which seemed to be made fresh, and was slightly disappointed with that because on the menu it says Roti would be served with the Curry, but they had flour tortillas instead. I was very disappointed with our meal and there was nothing authentic about the meal whatsoever. For someone, like myself, who likes to travel the world.. This exotic experience was, by far, the worse experience I've had yet! The food was clearly olf and the workers were more like the mob, and very unpleasant. I will NEVER come back and will make sure no one, that I know, makes the same mistake that me and my client made.
Just ordered delivery. Incredible! The packaging was thoughtful. Everything wrapped up to avoid spilling. All the supplies needed. And THEN! The actual taste of the food!!!!! I got vegetable thupka and it is soooo much fun to eat! The momos (and sauce) taste exactly like they do in Nepal. And I am loving this whole meal. Highly, highly recommend!!
Food was great
Mom and pop restaurant run by local Pittsburgers. Somewhat improvised interior. My first impression was that it seemed to be a favorite with the local Nepalese community, lots of people in for dinner, big clue that it is the real deal and good. The staff was exceedingly accommodating and friendly.I ordered a chicken biryani, which was Nepalese style pakki biryani…milder and very savory, not as hot as some indian varieties. Garnished with cucumber, carrots, onion, and a light cucumber yogurt. Was excellent and I will be back. The restaurant also has a bar in the back. Will eat there again when in the area. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu.
