Attentive, accommodating servers and host. Great food, superlative view.

Everything was wonderful! Enjoyed the food and service was just as terrific!

Very disappointing. Food was far below the expected standards for Monterey Bay. First, the menu has changed. Menus previously offered an array of fish selections with numerous different preparations that could be requested for any fish. This was gone. The ‘signature’ trio appetizer has declined in quality. Crabcake recipe has been changed to add more filler. Ichiban skewer fish were over cooked. A selection of raw oysters was not unavailable, the ones served were puny, and the Oysters Rockefeller appetizer was gone from the menu. Entrees qualities were mixed. Seared tuna was good. Branzino did not have skin crisped and a few bites had a slightly sour (‘fishy’) taste. The halibut was cooked perfectly, but the Tuscan style sauce was uninspiring, advertising ‘Sicilian hot sausage’ where none was tasted, only a bland tomato sauce with blistered cherry tomatoes. Also, the cut of the halibut, although expertly cooked as noted, was too large of a portion (looking to be about 7 or 8 ounces) for an enjoyable entree. Desserts were enjoyable, with the Angel Food Grilled Cheese being creative and very enjoyable. We have been dining at Monterey Bay for many years. Unfortunately, there were enough negative changes regarding the food, that we had previously considered some of the best in the city, that we will not be returning anytime soon.

One of the best restaurants in Pittsburgh. Amazing service and food. Highly recommend.

We were able to get the window table we requested with the great view. My mother-in-law's first trip to Pittsburgh and is a French only speaker. We got a wonderful waiter, Renaud, who was from France and made dinner really a treat. The food was delicious as always. The only thing was you really paid for all the atmosphere, comfort and great dinner and drinks.

food is delicious as ever, service is great, however it’s getting noticeably crowded and costly post pandemic.

Best restaurant in Pittsburgh, and the view simply cannot be matched!

Our server was amazing ! She was attentive and one of the best I have had in a long time! The food was good - crab cakes were a little dry.

Incredible views; best in the city; service was impeccable; portions surprisingly large for such a high-end restaurant; creative and distinctive dishes.

A unique Pittsburgh experience. One of the great views among American cities. The Pirates were in town treating us to a spectacular fireworks display against the night backdrop of Pittsburgh city scape. The food was average for a fish specialty restaurant but our waitress was a skilled professional.
