Delicious food and great service. This place has been my go to spot since moving to the Pittsburgh area some months ago. My daughter loves it. Oysters …awesome! Lobster roll…A1!! Baked oysters…to die for although it seemed to be one less than usual. Clam linguini is my go too meal. The spicy red chowder was awesome. I brought my sister here when she came for a visit and she loved it as well. I rarely drink but the cocktails were amazing. I would eat here everyday if I could. Great atmosphere. Parking is a bit tricky but, we make it work every time.

Excellent food, excellent oysters, excellent environment. Even though our waitress was below standard, everything else made up for it. We had perfect weather and all of the windows and doors were opened, which made it feel like we were on a harbor somewhere. The lobster roll was on par with Boston style, the oysters fresh, and the chowder was delicious. Bar staff very friendly and laid back.

Awesome selection of oysters and seafood. One of the best mignonettes I’ve had. Great martinis … fun atmosphere and super accommodating staff. Here’s the only reason this awesome spot didn’t get five stars: the owner, staff and bartenders had friends at one of the tables in this small space and all of the attention went to that table. Which was super strange for a public space. They were very loud … and it seemed like we were dining at someone’s private party versus patrons at a restaurant.

I stayed at a hotel down the street and needed a late-night bite. I ordered the Crab grilled cheese. The sandwich was very good with lots of cheese and Crab on homemade bread. The place is small and was very busy, but I found seating at the bar.

Best place to get oysters in the Burg??

Amazing great food service fresh oysters- chowder excellent- the Cuban sandwich was unique and taste a foodies dream and delight. Pittsburgh gem. Thanks Merchant Oyster for your existence in the Burgh

Didn't plan on going here. Went because they had an open table on a busy Saturday night. Was very impressed. Food was great! Great atmosphere. Nice employees. But the highlight was absolutely the food. Would recommend. Will be returning, on purpose next time.

We've been wanting to try this place out for a while. We were not disappointed. We had oysters and soup to start. The clam chowder was very good. I had the crab grilled cheese that's was excellent. My wife had the hot lobster roll that she did not like at all. However, when we brought this to the waitress' attention she removed it and brought the cold lobster roll instead that was also excellent. I appreciate a restaurant owner who understands that not everyone will enjoy an item on the menu and is willing to make it right. All this, and they have Narragansett beer on tap! We'll be back.

Really chill atmosphere in the heart of Lawrenceville. A great place to hangout and get seafood, fun drinks, and great oysters!

The place was great. We met the owner and were happy that he was our bottle opener!Oysters were great and tasted fresh. Good selection. I would highly recommend crab grilled cheese.
