The food and ambience are exceptional, but what is so impressive is the dedicated customer service to all patrons. Bravo
First of all, our server, Nate, was absolutely wonderful. He was pleasant and helpful, offering up good recommendations. We had the paté appetizer and the Beef Wellington and both were perfect. The whole atmosphere in general was great too. Very hip and cool but I didn't feel like I was too old to be there even though I was celebrating my 50th birthday ?
Very good overall experience. The interior is nice which is where we sat. Lot of decor on the walls. Bar menu is extensive. The starters were good, the cheese toast was awesome. I got the beef Wellington for entree and it was amazing. Well cooked and a ton of flavor. It did take 1 hour to prepare though so be aware, especially with the time limit. Reasonably priced overall for what you're getting. Dessert options available.
As a vegetarian married to a meat eater, I was prepared to eat pasta or create a meal out of sides. I was pleasantly surprised to see vegan meatloaf on the menu! It was delicious!
The marrow tasted good and the pork chop was also delicious. I really recommend trying lemon cream brulee as dessert. It is the most amazing dessert that I've tried in Pittsburgh.
I am so happy for Meat and Potatoes to be back! I almost feel like the food is better than it’s ever been. I went to dinner and was able to try a few things on the menu and everything was top notch!
If you are in downtown Pittsburgh searching for a place to have a great meal, look no further! The staff, from the seating hostess to the waiting staff, are welcoming, helpful and nice. The cocktails are dangerously delicious. Lex helped me with choosing my meal, and she was fantastic! She was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, and every recommendation she gave was spot on. The bone marrow appetizer is phenomenal. My steak was cooked to perfection, exactly as I ordered it. All and all, I had a great experience at this restaurant and will certainly go back when I am in town again.
Absolutely incredible, I wish I could give higher than 5 stars. The food and service was next level. I always have a certain expectation when I'm visiting a fine dining restaurant, this met and exceeded any and all expectation. I will absolutely be returning in the future - there is a reason we had to put in a reservation over a month in advance for a prime time spot on a Saturday.
Sad to say I can't completely recommend from my experience. Didn't have any of the higher end steak options, but from the group I was with, they seemed to like it, but commented it was lacking still. Fries were amazing. Crispy and seasoned well. I had the pub burger. Patty was amazing, well seasoned and had a lot of flavor, however, the pastrami on it overpowered everything else. Tasted like a glorified ham sandwich which was good, but it made you miss out on the amazing flavor of the patty.I skipped on desert but my group enjoyed it. Commenting on the good balance of flavors.Prices are high, and for the experience you get, I can't recommend it compared to the other amazing options downtown. Server was very nice and attentive, even though we were there an hour before closing. Food presentation looked amazing too. Had that fine dining elegance to it.Overall , I think the price you pay is not worth food sadly. There's a lot of competition, especially for steak in the area, and I feel the restaurant could use a little boost there. Not a horrible place by any means. But due to stiff competition, I'd recommend trying other places downtown
Great food and very nice dining experience. Beef Wellington is totally worth the wait.
