As a veg head, Mad Mex is going to be one of my go-tos. Not only do they offer a great selection of vegan appetizers and entrees, they’re reasonably priced and delicious. Not to mention a phenomenal tequila list. So excited to know there are a lot of plant based options here so we can come back and try more. Highlights include the chickpea chili, breaded and fried tofu, and waffle fries in the huge burrito. Staff was friendly and the atmosphere is lovely.

At this Mad Mex restaurant, my husband and I ate dinner on a weekday evening. The seating hostess and the waitress were fairly prompt and courteous. Our favorite food was the guacamole and chips. Our chicken quesadilla, steak burrito, and rice and beans were average to good.

I absolutely loved this place! They have food for everyone including vegans and vegetarians. I had the portabella tofu fajitas and nachos. Everything was delicious ❤️. I would definitely go back, also our waitress was awesome ! So patient with us and we had her laughing so hard . I am not from the Pittsburgh area but I definitely will come back. Such a great atmosphere ❤️

Great lunch menu. Friendly and fast service. The grilled fish tacos were delicious.

Haven't been here in awhile. Decided to stop in for Cinco de Mayo. Food was the best it has ever been at this location!

Mad Mex. What can you say about the place except it's amazing! Food is amazing. Drinks are amazing. Service is amazing, even during the covid days when nobody wanted to work. Always consistent from time to time. And when the Gobberito comes out- it's all hands on deck! This is one of my favorite places to go. I would never get tired of anything there.Okay. Parking is problematic at times. But that is it!!

I always have a great meal at mad mex! The staff was quick to seat us and take our orders. Everything came out perfectly! Never had the wings until this visit and loved the San Francisco style!

Been coming to this location for years. Always great food with fast delivery to your table. I ordered the Gobblerito (my fav) and literally had it on my table 5 mins later.

Ambiance 10/10. Beer selection 10/10.Friendly staff 10/10.As a Latino who grew up in South America & southern Louisiana.. No. Their Al pastor is trash. Al Pastor Nachos, dry & bland. Salsa was awful. .. the Spanish rice was the worst reminding me of cardboard. Black beans mostly uncooked. Chips were mixed- fresh& stale.Won’t be back for food but their growler art was awesome.

If you are looking for a Mexican takeout experience in the North Hills of Pittsburgh, skip Mad Mex. We have eaten in before and it was fair, but had previously good takeouts. Last Saturday, we may have as well flushed our money down the toilet. My husband arrived a good five minutes ahead of our scheduled pickup time just in case the food was ready early. Not only was it ready, it had been sitting out. By the time he got home, everything was cold. We live less than 10 minutes away. His chicken quesadilla was tasteless. Our grandson's child meal tasted better. Our daughter's steak fajita was prepared rare, when she had asked for well done. She had to recook her steak. Just as well, as it was cold anyhow. The rice we all received was dry. I did send my comments into the company and asked to be contacted. I have not been. That is why I am taking to social media. Obviously they do not care about their customers or the product they put out.
