If you want sushi in the area, go to Lin’s Asian Fusion or Nakama instead. The vegetable tempura was was inedible. The batter was too thick and tasted gross. I ordered the shrimp tempura roll which was just as bad. I ate one piece. I also ordered the salmon, tuna, and avocado roll. The fish inside was chewy. I ordered the toro sushi for over $13 for 2 pieces, and it was barely thawed and tasted gross. We both only took one bite. The only good that we enjoyed was the salmon sushi and the eel sushi, and our bill was over $100. Our waitress clearly didn’t care about taking care of us either, so we only left a 15% tip. The lighting in the restaurant is also awful. It continuously changes color, making it hard to look at the person you are with. I rarely review restaurants, but this one is bad enough that I felt I should.

Table was dirty, service was cold and unfriendly, water was never topped off, edamame was almost certainly microwaved from frozen, fish was not fresh, and the sushi was hastily assembled and was almost impossible to eat. Not to mention the tacky decor and the delivery counter that sits right in front of you if you decide to sit at the bar.

The sushi and sashimi we ordered was delicious.

Ok so bad experience down the road so walked down to try this place.Judging by the reviews it was a safe bet right? Right!?!!?So come in through the door, white 20/30s waitress smoking her vape.No big dealCome in mamasan seats me and waitress drops off tap water and a hot towel.Ok great so far going good.Start looking at the menu and I see sushi prices are a little high but to be expected in a smaller large city.Decide to skip it and go with a salad, steak, and some ice cream.Salad was just the house salad. They use a ginger paste as the dressing. Not ideal but I can work with it.Get my steak with veggies and a look of disappointment as I take the first bite....ColdVeggies are both warm and freezing clearly cooked in a microwave of flash steamed. The sauce garnishing the plate is cold and congeled in spots. The meat precooked then warmed on a grill def. Not cooked to temp.Ok made it through the meal now let's try the ice cream.....Red bean ice cream is normally very granular and has texture. This was very perfumed and had about 3-5 bean skins throughout.Very disappointed

Delicious! The Chefs were very kind and talented in their craft of making sushi. Polite hostess and overall a nice experience for quick meal.

Best sushi experience I’ve had in southside! Sat at the counter during one of my visits and they gave us free sashimi to try and are so kind. Looking forward to returning!

When you're turned away from the popular sushi spot, Nakama, in the Southside simply because they didn't want to take any new customers for the night, this underappreciated restaurant outshines your first pick with some good-old-fashioned customer appreciation and high quality and authentic dishes. I will now favor Little Tokyo Bistro for my sushi connection over their competition. It's funny how one can find a true five star even when convinced that it is located at the popular spot. LTB is low-key and unassuming, and definitely where you should go for dinner between the two.

Nasty . Gave me lobster that stunk & gave me 5 little pieces of steak for $38

I went 45 minutes before they closed during lunch time and I was the only one there. I just have to say that the lady that served me was the sweetest woman ever. The service was very attentive. I ordered sushi, noodles, and it came with a cute little salad. The food came fast and tasted very fresh, and a worker made the sushi almost right in front of me!Such a cute little place for lunch or dinner and the workers are very kind. Highly recommend!!!

The sushi rolls here were fine, just very pricey for the portion size.
