We agreed of this cake a couple months ago. It’s a simple two tiered naked cake that I was set to pick up on 5/20/22 the DAY before my wedding. She agreed. Never asked for a contract, never asked for a deposit, never asked me or my fiancé to visit the shop so we both could have peace of mind. I’m getting married paying a deposit and signing a contract are second nature to me at the moment and I would absolutely done so but she didn’t ask. Then she sends me an invoice and I asked if I could pay a deposit and the rest when I see the cake seeing as it’s my first time working with her and instead of explaining her policy or asking that she hold a credit card on file or literally ANYTHING else she canceled my cake and then tells me she doesn’t want to work with someone who doesn’t believe she should be paid. Which is incredibly frustrating because I absolutely think she should be paid but as a paying customer do I not deserve to make sure the cake is done correctly if I’m paying for it?

I DM the shoppe on Instagram as said and once it was seen I was blocked. No clue why. I just was. All I did was inquire about a cake for my birthday. Never heard of a business blocking customers for asking a question. A simple we cannot would suffice. Also after reading the replies from the owner to people who reviewed poorly, I guess I understand. Just a negative experience. Hoping for better for others in the future. Constructive criticism. My husband and I recently had Alex do our cake and mini cupcakes for our wedding. Everything turned out DELICIOUS and adorable! We did five different cupcake flavors and they were a huge hit with our guests!!! I especially loved the coffee & donuts flavor, she actually puts a tiny donut on top of the cupcake! We would highly highly recommend Le Cupcake Shoppe for all of your baking needs!

If you need a dessert, the team at Le Cupcake Shoppe was amazing to work with! This was the second time I have ordered from them, and they did not disappoint. The cake pops I ordered were delicious and adorable! They were also gender reveal for my sisters baby shower. The other time I ordered, I had a cream tart for my bridal shower! It was beautifully decorated as well as sweet and crunchy.

Such delicious and creative cupcakes! Alex, thank you so much for creating such delciious succulent cupcakes and teddy cake pops for my sister's baby shower. The cupcakes and pops were so fresh!! Thank you also for being so professional and a joy to work with - will be ordering again soon

I ordered a dozen of the regular sized cupcakes. The cookie dough craze flavor was delicious and a hit at my bachelorette party. Alex made it easy to order and pick up. Will order again for sure!

The cake for my baby shower was everything I wanted and more! She went above and beyond!

My mom ordered a cake and cupcakes for my baby shower! The cake was even more than I hoped for. It was absolutely beautifully done and so delicious!

The cakes are absolutely delicious, the customer service is awful. Per Le Cupcake Shoppe’s Instagram page, you can “dm to order.” I messaged her on Instagram to place an order on Monday. I expected to receive a response within 24 hours or so. I thought it was strange how I didn’t receive a response by the end of Tuesday but I know life happens so I assumed I would eventually hear back. It was upsetting to see new stories posted on the Instagram page AFTER my message was sent. It was insulting to see that posting stories was more important than responding to a customer. Finally Wednesday came around with no response. I tried giving them a call, no answer. Right after I made the call, I emailed them the order. After all of this, still no response! I know it sounds crazy but Thursday I tried to call twice with still no response to anything!I’ve never experienced this with a bakery before. As a customer you shouldn’t have to jump through hoops to place an order. Go support a different local bakery. What would happen if they took a deposit but you had a question, wanted to change something, or even confirm something, and you couldn’t contact them? Don’t risk it. I can’t believe how irresponsible and unprofessional this business owner is. I’m so disappointed, do better.
