Went for our son's birthday and Loved, Love, Loved it! The food was delicious and it was a very unique design in the restaurant. Yasuko (might be misspelling this) was so helpful, attentive, friendly, polite, and made out dinner worry free. We had the best time. You have to check out the restrooms too. Although, they are very small.
By far, the best Japanese cuisine restaurant I have had the pleasure of dining at in the northeast! My wife and I had a few appetizers, a main course for two, a few beverages, and finally ended the evening with mochi ?Good job, Kiku Japanese Restaurant keep up the great work.
I adore this spot! Definitely a must try if new to the city, visiting, or residents wanting a nice dinner. Always fresh, friendly service, and nice (and tasty) quality dishes! I've ate here a few times, had my own birthday here, etc.!
It's a fancy restaurant with relatively cheap quality... don't get me wrong, I love everyday dining and street food too. Simply, the nigiri and sushi are not up to high end standards (more like a everyday standards) and all my friends agreed that we could make better Sukiyaki (was too heavy on soy sauce)... I would not take my connoisseur friends there. They really need a better chef team and better interior design.
Absolutely fantastic place. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel very welcome. Their alcohol selection is good, the sake is delicious. make sure and I’m sure you will try their housemade soy sauce. It is absolutely the best soy sauce I have ever had.
The sushi was way off for a Japanese restaurant. Rice was dry and sushi size were different for all the pieces. I had the sushi deluxe and for $10 less I can get the same thing but better prepared form a Chinese restaurant locally. Or even sushi from giant eagle was better.
The food was good and Michelle, our server, tried very hard. However, we had to wait for a very, very, very long time (50 minutes to get our appetizers, another 40 minutes to get our soup, and then 25 more minutes to get our entrees), and the restaurant was not even full! The time we were eating each course was negligible compared to the waiting time.
Very good, the atmosphere is so nice and calming. The sushi was superb. I really recommend the shrimp tempura roll to anyone who visits.
Excellent authentic food. It’s a place you could easily walk past and not think twice about from the outside appearance. Fantastic menu!
Sukiyaki for two was fantastic. Sashimi was fantastic. And the beer from Hokkaido was excellent! Couldn't have been happier with the experience, definitely will be back.
